Yeah so I have a psp 1000. I'm worrying and I'm paranoid that my psp will overheat.. will this happen? I could play for 24 hours straight since we got the TV repaired so no console gaming for now but I'm starting to be obsessed with my psp.so even if the tv gets back I would still devote my attention to the psp.. will this overheat if I play, while playing charge till it gets full, continue playing, remove charger, charge it again when it gets low then continue playing.. thanks.. :D

I dont think it overheats. I've run mine from full battery to no battery and it never overheated.

I don't have a 1000, I have a 2000. But from all that I have played my PSP has never even gotten higher than room temperature.

The PSP could reach slightly uncomfortable temperatures when using WiFi for extended periods of time, but otherwise, it remains cool, and still runs fine in a car on a hot summer day(although this isn't recommended).

I had a psp 1000 and ran that thing to the pits of hell and didn't have a problem! I got a psp 3000 which I don't use that often but I've never seen any psp over heat. Good machines psp's are.. :)

My 1000 model overheats from time. A LOT when I try to use an internet intensive game. I have some games I can't play online at all because of that.

Does it actually overheat, or just becomes uncomfortably hot? Overheating is when the device shuts down or hangs due to extreme heat.

Can't play, so shuts the f off. First sounds shuts down and the screen freezes for 10 or so seconds. Then it dies a horrible death.

:O That sounds very bad. And unusual. My PSP can get very hot on WiFi, but it's never crashed on me. The worst that happens is internet connection is slowed down.

It might not overheat because the system inside is so small, not like a typical console which runs at more watts.
