All of it is stupid and none of it is valid.

I thought that GTAIV wasnt that amazing either but those are not the issues I have with it.

SO true. A game like that is rated on a lot of sites very highly. But i guess we shouldn't really care what other people think of a game most people rate very highly ;)

Physics and overall look is so great that you easly foget about repetitive missions. That guy mentioned it all but obviously he wanted more fun from that game although it is the best game so close to reality this generation.

All of it is stupid and none of it is valid.

I thought that GTAIV wasnt that amazing either but those are not the issues I have with it.

Unless after playing GTA for longer, you then realise that "Yeah, his point is so so true"

This guy summed up why I think GTA:IV is pointless and rockstar should continue with new ips like this agent and la noire.

It's a shame, people don'tappreciate good games anymore. Rockstar really worked hard on GTAIV, the graphics are amazing for a game with a world that large and I really like how the media works in that game. You'll hear news reports of things Niko Bellic recently did, like how police have found the dead body of man he killed. It's an immersive game that people take for granted.

It's a shame, people don'tappreciate good games anymore. Rockstar really worked hard on GTAIV, the graphics are amazing for a game with a world that large and I really like how the media works in that game. You'll hear news reports of things Niko Bellic recently did, like how police have found the dead body of man he killed. It's an immersive game that people take for granted.

i agree with you he made a good point but the "5 reasons" why the game isnt great are terrible....

He should've titled the article, "5 Reasons Why GTA IV Did Not Deserve a 10" or something like that. I just went back and finished the game for the first time, and while it wasn't that frustrating or filled with bugs, it still isn't one of the best games ever for me. I still highly prefer GTA III lol. Some of his points are valid though. There are some missions where I would've liked maybe one more checkpoint, and the controls are still clunky to me.

Ive founda good cover point in the game where Im impervious to helicopters, but I can take them down, and nothing can get me, ever.

The missions are horribly boring. Ive not completed them yet out of boredom. Plus if you do a mission you could be driving for ages, and then nearly do the mission and die. And now I must do that BORING driving again??? NO WAY, not for some boring chore of a mission...

And the online is terrible. You will press triangle (or Y) to enter a car, and you character tries to only to be beaten by the simple car door... Which then leaves me completely open to machine gun fire whilst my character stands there hopelessly...

Or sometimes you will be in a car with someone and a crash will happen, but the framerate goes to snailspace, youve got no idea whats oing on, and then bailing takes ages becuase once again your character cannot open a door for some reason. You get shot...

And it goes the other way too. Ive killed people before who were stuck somewhere, like at a car door. Its annoying as hell.

Plus the menu sysatem for multiplayer is the worst I have seen EVER. Its so bad, you dont get into a game and for some reason you have to go through a loading screen back to SP, then you must watch the loading screen AGAIN to get back online.

At which point I just turn the game off...

What an idiot. The game has some flaws, but it is a groundbreaking achievment in terms of scale and size. And its really really REALLY addictive.

Yeah, in the beginning he states that its a great game. No need to be defensive, most of the points are quite valid and I absolutely love cracked.com, its hilarious (although forums are strict). I didn't agree with 4 much though, and 3 was only really a problem online or occasionally.

But that's not a game, it can be an aspect of a game or the theme of the game but that within itself is not a game. It doesn't make a game better than a another game if the gameplay sucks, which in GTAIV's case it does. Was it really fun doing those stupid mini-games with your friends? Was it really an exciting game all the way through? For GTAIV, Rockstar forgot what made the previous GTAs so much fun and why they were some of the best games ever made. There was very few times in GTAIV where I felt like I was really having fun unless it was online with friends. Where's the style from Vice City? Where's the hilariousness from San Andreas?
