Yes, it does 1080i and 720p. Use 720p for games and movies etc though. The best is 1080p, as you probably know, but 720p is awesome too.

I hope you chose a tv soon, I know you've been looking for a good while now lol.

If it says HD-TV, it most likely can do 720p. If it can do that it will do 1080i. Wikipedia ' progressive scan' & ' interlace ' for information on there difference between i & p. (P is better in all cases)

Ok it's not a true 1080 tv as it's native ie the max resolution it will do is 1366*768 which is more than 720 but less than a true 1080 image which is 1920*1080, So it will accept a 1080i signal and display it but it wont be as good as a true 1080 TV but it's still good mine is only 1366*768 native and is set to 1080i and looks great, but be aware that some TV's can display better than others.

So, will I get 1080 or no.

Like I said, I don't mind 720 it's better than normal TV.

I just would like to know, if this TV is alright to buy.

It can receive up to 1080i, but will display it in 720p, which is better than 1080i.

that's just wrong.. it will accept a 1080i signal and display it at it's native which is 1366*768 which as i said in my post is better than 720 but not as good as a true 1080 image.

It can't do 1080 lines of pixels. 1920x1080. So if you want a tv or display that can then get something that says "FULL1080" or "1920x1080". 1080p is fantastic and I would say that it's worth the extra money.

1920X1080p is "true hd". But it comes with a considerable mark up in price as well. Also, I wouldn't bother with 1080p unless you got a really expensive one, those are the ones that you can truely see a difference.

If you get that vizio, I think you'll be happy, especially since they are cheap. Just make sure to get hdmi or component cables when you buy it.

RMANPOWER

Both let you get the most out of your ps3s visuals. HDMI is usually seen as the better though, and it allows video and audio in one cord. With HDMI, upscaling is possible also.

I notice they are like 50 bucks, but I can buy them on ebay for cheaper right? All I need are the gold tip ones, correct? That's what I heard around here as long as they are gold plated.

both cables are cheap. hdmi doesn't really matter, just don't get a cheap cable that is longer than 6ft. A cheap cable less than 6ft will do you fine.

The tv is 720p, accepts 1080i but that doesn't really matters because it's 32inches and on a tv that size you won't see the difference. Also the best and cheapest cables you can get is HDMI and you should get those. They sell for like 8 bucks on newegg.

Hey turbo, relax. I was asking you a question to clarify what you said. Maybe you should wonder about your own ability to read or misread posts.

This TV has a native resolution of 720P . It does 1080i but ignore that the native resoultion is 720P thats what you should pay attention to imo. Unless you wanna spend alot of money or wanna get like a 42 inch tv or bigger 720P is all you need imo. 1080P is outstanding on a good set but i cant tell much of a difference unless its a pretty big tv.I have a Sharp 42inch 1080P set aswell as a Sony Bravia 26 inch set that i game on and the 720P Sony has just as good of a picture. Most all games have a native resoultion of 720P if the box says 1080i or 1080P it normally upscales .720p Is all you need on a set of 32 inch or smaller imo.
