The war in Gaza is on the news here in the U.S. everyday. War is ugly and there are parts all over the world where people are dying from fighting every day. I don't think you should not buy a game because of the fighting in gaza. These problems, as you probably already know, have been going on for years and although there may be a cease fire in the near future it probably won't be the last time there is violence between these palestine and Isreal.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's good to feel bad about war and people dying but you should continue on with your life.:)

Really, War affects the heart and soul of some1 but it doesnt affect my gaming because i use gaming as a stress relief thing. I'm from Lebanon so yeah u would understand that we are under constant warfare but live life to the fullest and let nothing stop that. Lifes short man, live it...live it before its 2 late.

sry to hear that you cant get your games or you cant get games that you are excited for. its a shame that good people have to suffer because of governments and terrorism. hope you can get the games you want soon, i really do. to answer your question, no i dont let any thing in the media/world affect my gaming. if my city decides to stop selling games, im buying on the internet, or im moving. i use games to get away from life, to get away form all the critics and such, to get away from all the media and what they want to tell you. its a stress reliever and a time consumer.

By the looks of this thread it seems the majority of the people handle it badly and think of the worst. Dante never said he was in the War, he never said he was injured. He mentioned he see's it all the time on the TV, like all of us. So please stop assuming the worst and look and your glass as half full, it happens ALL THE TIME

people love to hate, its a sad thing. someone asked me once "when will wars ever stop", I seriously told him "when us humans disappear and let squirrls rule the world"...... wars will stop when there is no more government/religion haters who want to own and control everything/want the rest of the world to worship their beliefs.

wars will stop when all people have the same opinions and that would never happen, i hate war, my dad is in the army and he out in iraq right now but he's coming home soon and i cannot wait for him to come home. he told me some stuff that goes on out there and its real scary, he snuck some pictures he took when he came back a bit for leave, and the pics he showed were very disturbing. cod4 is one of the games thats weird to play cuz its so controversial because of the war but i realized games are fiction and arent real so i shouldnt confuse the two
Don't worry, eventually Israeli and Palestinian war will end. One thing good about war is that it can't go on forever. Look at Europe. These countries fought each other on and off for almost 1000 years (I'm including the wars with Rome) and now they're a Union. People (usually the younger generations) get sick of it and makes the governments stop. Peace is a generational evolution and eventually wins out. The bad thing is that someone else somewhere else in the world decides to kill each other.
If you think war games will make you think about war and get you down get LBP. LBP makes me forget about everything.
I hate any war. Most are very unnecessary. The war in the Gaza Strip really sucks because both have a reasonable claim to the land there. It all stems from WWII and how the land was given to Israel. I hate that innocent Palestinians and innocent Israelis have die. But most of, if not all of, the blame should go to Hamas. Because of their actions innocence on both sides have been killed. (Of course, I might be wrong.)
