It seems to me that everyday I find my PS3 with heaps and heaps of dust on it, even if I clean it off, in around 24 hours there will just be more dust on it.

Does your PS3 get very dusty very quickly?

How often do you clean your PS3?

my ps3 is a dust magnet it constantly has dust on it even after a few hours after cleaning it, it goes back to what it normally has and sometimes so much dust is in the fan area that sometimes i get i hint of burnt dust smell in my room thats when i know i really need to clean it

Yes it gets very dusty and I clean it before turning it on . It happens because of static electricity it generates .I also put a cotton cloth on it to cover it after I finish playing so the dust accumulation is greatly reduced .

Mine doesn't get dusty... I put a clot on top of the system, so I'm all good with that.

Mine gets fairly dusty, and it annoys me because when its clean it's so sleek and attractive; But when it's dirty, boy is it dirty.

Put it somewhere without a rug or a dusty surface like a polished wood or glass or something. If it really mattered you could get a giant coaster.

Mine gets pretty dusty, but not terrible. I clean it off once every other day or so. And it always looks good like that.

It gets dusty every day so I clean when there's a lot. I try not to let it build up or else something bad might happen to it.

Depends on how much dust there is in other parts of the house. I clean fairly regularily so the PS3 doesn't get dustier faster than anything else I have.

Mine doesn't get too much dust. What floor do you have (I have linoleum, no carpet so that reduces dust in the room)? Is a bed in the room?

My PS2 gets dusty and has spiderwebs in its back and I use it everyday :/ kind of scared to move it in the event of a spider flying at me.

Yeah my PS3 is a dust magnet. I just wipe the dust off whenever I can be bothered.

Yep mine does but thats what we get for having nice glossy finish for our system. So does my hd tv too which also has a glossy finish but luckly they give a special cloth to wipe it down with so i just use that to wipe my ps3 down.

u know i just recently bought a wii and 360, and honestly they get just as dusty, only reason u cant see it cuz its white!!! now i was wondering *hmmmm, my 360 and wii are pretty damn clean* been playin them for almost 2 weeks straight, anyways i ran my fingers on them and they had almost as much dust as the ps3 gets, only messed up part is, since its black ull notice it MORE, anyways, why complain? just clean it whenever u can and if i was u and i dont use it, do wat i do if u want, use that plastic wraper that comes wraped around the ps3 when u first get it, and put it on the ps3 whenever u dont use it, i been doin that for a year now, and honest to god i been cleanin my ps3 once a month!! dust free baby

I guess it gets a little dust everyday. Since dust is dead skin cells, more dust means more of your skin cells are dying :P.

When I took my PS3 out of the box, it was like the dust declared war against my PS3.

So I bought that screen protector off of ebay (it only overs the top portion) and I cut out a pillow case to cover my PS3 when I'm not using it.

mine gets dust on it everyday but i have a swiffer next to it. I clean it multiple times a day. I dont know even if i see one spec of dust i end up wiping it off. I also clean off my wii and 360 as well.

id rather have all my systems in the best conditions possible especially since the amount of money we spend on them

I wipe it down with this silky cloth i have, and once and awhile i'll spray some windex on a paper towel and wipe off any fingerprints.

Yep, and I have animals in my house that lay next to it or on top of it. I try to clean it weekly, but I sometimes forget.

Nope I I checked mine yesterday and I had it for about two weeks now and there was hardly anything on it at all. If I was you I would dust around your place that way it cant suck it in.

it does gather a lot of dust i have to admit. I swiffer it every once in awhile. Swiffer's are helpful in those cases. I recommend them lol.

mine does but the reason why is because of the type of flooring that collects dust, carpet definitly collects dust and other materials in the room, theres nothing you can do but keep cleaning it off... and it doesn't help that the ps3 is black and really really shiny it shows dust really bad.

My TV, PS3, and Desk are all glossy black. I have to wipe em down weekly. Even with an air purifier in the room, I still get tons of dust! I hope they ship the PS4 with a self cleaning feature ;)
