When your PS3 is in stand by mode is there small green light on it which remains ON all the time ? This green light is next to the usb ports and HDD light. It has something to do with wireless connection.

I am NOT talking about the power light. This has nothing to do with the power LED.

Stand by mode is red-light..... Green-light means your system is power on.

It would make sense that this would be from remote start as someone already stated. If you use a wireless connection and have remote start activated, it would have to mantain a constant connection to be able to be remote started. I would test this but unfortunately I have no PSP to try it out.
