I know that most schools haven't started yet, but they will.:evil: And that means that you will NOT stay up late to play PS3 games, that means you will NOT be able to sleep in, that means you WILL have to do homework instead of gaming. And that SUCKS. Just think of all the games that will be coming out (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Grand Theft Auto IV), and you will not have that much time to play them because YOU HAVE SCHOOL! :o Vote now!

In my school you have to take Economics and some government class, also you have to take gym every semester (execept one where you take health) I'm taking AP Calculus, AP Biology and AP World History.
eh i actually think my choice of getting a ps3 instead of a new gaming pc will help my college grades..i find my self far less addicted to the fps and action type games that i enjoy then i do to the starcraft's,warcrafts,and wow's for pc...i think it would be sweet if the ps3 got a solid RTS game
School gets in the way of all my gaming. From PS3 - PC - DS Lite, and its a good thing. Right now I'm trying to get a good balance of work (part-time job), school, working out at our local gym, and gaming. I think I've found the balance, but when I work shiftwork it sometimes gets hard.
Only when i have major assignments or projects and stuff. Otherwise Homework is easy and stuff so i get time in. I try to focus more on school than ps3

That sort of sucks for me, because through the whole school day, I constantly think about the PS3. In the classroom, I draw pictures of the PS3, and people being shot to death. Then when I get home, I take one look at the PS3, then I go out on the back porch and burn my homework. Maybe that's why I've failed classes last year........ maybe.......:|
eh in the summer i play everyday, but take a lot of breaks..but in the school time id do homework then play a couple hours and on weekends id play almost nonstop (untill like 5 or 6 cuz thats when my friends like to hang out) unless there are no good games out....

School gets in the way of many things. Balancing 2 hours tuitions for Maths, completing notes, studying the lessons taught that day - really gets restricting. I play 2-3 hours whenever I get the chance (very rare).
But in the vacations.... heheheh I go ballistic. I don't care if I play 12-14 hours, I NEED TO PLAY AND FINISH ALL MY GAMES!!!

Dude, i just finished grade 10 this past school year and it isn't that hard. I had plenty of time for gaming almost every day, around 3-5 hours. And i did all the work lol with an 87 average.
Yes it most certainly will. I'm stuck with only being able to play on the weekends. And now all the games I wanted have to come out duringschool. What the hell? I have no games to play during the summer and now the games I want to play won't be played because of school.
Yeah I'm not going to get to game as much as this summer because of school and this is the first year I have a job during school. Plus I'm talking 2 AP classes.
Last year (10th Grade) I was able to keep above a 4.0 GPA without doing any homework at home (except projects), but this year I am taking 5 AP classes, so I am not that sure how well my gaming will stand up. Normally I game on the PC (Counter-Strike all the time), but with the onslaught of PS3 games coming, I can't wait. Warhawk comes out the day after school starts D:

I'm in college, and yeah my work definetely gets in the way of gaming time. But moreso than work is probably just the fact that college-life is much more social than high school. When I do have free time, I find I spend it hanging out in other people's dorm rooms or chilling in the city than playing games. I definetely have to find time this holiday with all the good ps3 releases...and bioshock
I finished high school in June but I gotta start working soon full-time, so thats gonna suck, and its gonna be construction so by the time i get home i'll probably be real tired, might only have an hour or so to play, i used to play for hours when new games come out :( oh well

The only guidance I can offer is...enjoy school while it lasts, cause once it's over, life smacks you in the face.
Hopefully, you guys will be as lucky as I am, and find acareer that gives you your own computer and internet.
Nothing beats "earning" a paycheck while playing MAME32 or surfing the internet all day :D

Heh, alkaline speaks the truth, it's all down hill from here! lol. Seriously though, once you hit the working world it does get harder, but you're earning money at the same time, so it's a fair trade. And nothing beats pulling a paycheck for surfing the net!
I've got AP classes to tend to. And from the sound of OP's thread, it doesn't look like he really appreciates his education. That's not good, not good at all...
Schools ok. I dont mind missing gaming that much. I usually get time for a couple hours a week during school. I start junior year on Monday so you can say my summer's almost up.
