Dog peed on my system... help me!

My dog (think smallish jack russell) peed on my system last night.I immediately wiped the system down and it didn't appear that any moisture leaked into the system. However, now when I try to turn it on the green light fades to red... it flashes... then nothing. Please tell me there is a way to solve the problem, or did my dog just ruin a $600 investment?

Here's what you do.

Grab the dog, and go outside.

Find a woodchipper and make sure it's on.

Throw the dog in.

Your system is fried sir. You can try to call Sony, but good luck with that.

This unfortunately falls under the "Acts of God" clause. If you're not religous maybe they'll repair it :PPhysicsLCP

lmfao aaahahaha, oh man. That dog would be severely punished. But your system is messed up, hardware failure to get it fixed is 150 dollars and you get it back in a week or 2..

First off I would like to say that I feel really bad, but when I read the title of your topic, I couldnt stop laughing.

There are two things you could possibly do:

1. Try and send it to son and maybe the MIGHT replace it, or at least repair it for you for free or a discounted price, idk.

2. Buy another one, put your broken one in there, try to seal it back up as best as you can, and try to return it. The guys at Best Buy dont usually look at htat stuff, and two things might happen. Either they will give your money back as a return, OR, you can get an exchange as a "defective" and try to sell it, but you probably will have to take a hit.

If your warantee is up, it might be worth trying to claim it on your contents insurance if you have any?

lol, this is also why you don't nuy hyperactive dogs like jack russels (I know yours may not be a jack russel). The y piss all over everything when they get excited.

Oh man, if I saw my dog do that too me...and it was that small, I dont know what I would have done :o. Probably yelled at it and then punched a hole in my door.

Get your consoles from Best Buy, and go with their replacement plan. 40$ sucks, but it's better than 600$.

The "suggested" way by old people, is to grab the dog's head and make them smell the piss point blank (like a shotgun blast to their head) and then scold them. I find that cruel.

Haha, I train em by showing them where they pee'd, scolding them, then taking them outside and repeating it like two times. Also get a small news add (thin paper) and hit something (not them) when you see them hiking the leg up indoors, will scare em.

Man that bites! I know that if my girlfriend's cat peed on my Wii, PS3 or 360, I would be extremely pissed.

Well as long as you have the receipt and it's in warranty, call Sony and send that piece in. However, I am not sure if the warranty covers urination because they might write it off as system neglect and wont fix it. Call Sony and see what they say.

I got a Broken 60gb PS3 on eBay and got it fixed. Their turnaround time is excellent; much better than Microsoft when I got the RROD. I got my PS3 in 5 days after shipping it out and 3 weeks for my 360.

If you are going to punish the dog though for this act, you must do so right when you catch him/her doing it. Once its done it's done. You can't discipline a dog for doing something that happened a day ago, let alone an hour. It won't know what it did wrong.

What you need to do is beat the dog with the PS3 and then get a new PS3 and dog, jk. If you have the receipt I don't see you having to much of a problem returning it and getting a new one.
