I have this friend, who said he wanted to try downloading a game, and I told him not to, because it's basically stealing, but he said he wanted to. The weekend passes, he says he downloaded the game, but all his game saves were deleted! I laughed so hard at him and he got pretty pissed, but let this be a lesson to those who want to download, DON'T DO IT! It's bad and bad things are bound to happen.
Probaby formatted his memory stick. I was gonna try and download a game before but then I heard that the newest firmware won't allow downloaded games to play anyway so I changed my mind. Besides, PSP games really aren't all that expensive. Wal Mart has bins full of cheap games and I picked up Dead Head Fred and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 together for only $25 today. Not a bad deal. And I just bought God of War because I am a huge fan of the franchise.
I don't know if you were talking about pirating or sony official downloaded site "playstation network" to download games for a fee.
If he was pirating I bet he wouldn't even know how to get the game to start playing since you need these files in order to play it "I won't get into detail but just say its modifying your PSP"
LoL he shouldve backed-up his saved data .... Anyway, in my place, UMDs are very rare and only a few games are available so nearly 90% of the games i have are downloaded from the net. :P Its not like I have a choice xD

Anyway this thread is hopefully going to be closed soon. Downloading games is both immoral and illegal, so don't do it.
