don't you think that the ps3 should support all video formats ?

^topic , thats especially for pplz who dls from pc then put them on ps3 like .mkv movies !! 1080p bluray the ps3 can't read them ! thx for the answer its a monster machine it should support everything ! :( its still on the ps2 days

or you can just hook up your PC to your hdtv whit hdmi.....

Well .mkv is mostly used for pirated blu ray titles and sony and microsoft want to make money of hd movies. Ps3 with blu ray and xbox 360 with renting hd movies on xbox live. It would be amazing if they do it but I highly doubt it. Just convert the movies to a format the ps3 uses and ul be fine. Right when I go to sleep i convert 4 hd movies on my macbook and the next day they are done and look amazing,meankilleR

i know that if the ps3 supported all type of software no one would stand in front of it but ah well all is cool

thats off topic but don't you think that the movies should be all region for example lets say someone speaks japanese and wants to watch ff7 on bluray japanese version and he got a european ps3 what does he do !! he can't do anything maybe he can't afford another ps3 for example me i speak chinese and got european ps3 but want to import some cool action movies from china but can't work :( only chinese movies that is or japanese movies

ah well gotta live with it life ain't fair sometimes still i think its a bit of unfairity to some pps i don't think it would be some piracy thingy if the movies were like the game styling region

I would reccomend getting a video converter like AVS.

It works wonders.

maybe you should buy yourself some blue ray movies instead of downloading pirated ones :)

Edit * just read that you are having troubles with the "regions" for some of these bluerays. That is a bummer, don't know what to say for that
