From nextgengamingblog.com

It has yet to be officially confirmed or announced, but we're hearing from certain sources that PlayStation Vita titles are going to be slightly cheaper if you choose to download them directly from the PlayStation Store.

According to our sources, boxed versions of PlayStation Vita titles will be priced somewhere near the £40/€50/$60 mark, whereas their downloadable counterparts will be £10/€10/$10 cheaper.

This would be a more logical move from Sony who, let's face it, got their strategy all wrong when it came to the PSP Go. If this information does indeed turn out to be correct, would it heighten your interest in the PlayStation Vita?

Though it's good to hear that PSN titles may be cheaper, I'm hoping they're wrong about the general pricing of physical games, because $60/game would push a lot of people away. They need to stay competitive, and I feel $40/game would do the trick.

I agree, 60 bucks for a VITA game sounds bit too much.

I'm with everyone else, if its $60USD a game I will sadly be reconsidering the Vita, thats the price of a ps3 game in CDN - and its a portable game. Too much for me, I have other bills to pay and would prefer to not be gouged out of every dollar I make.

Cheaper would be nice, but you are forgetting something.

Have you seen the price of the memory cards? Vita games can take up quite some space i think, so in the end you will still pay more.

Physical is nicer anyway. And if you look good on the internet you can get the games a lot cheaper. (No alternative store for PSN....)

People expected games to be cheap for the Vita? You have to remember that these games are alot more demanding than anything we have ever had on a handheld. Also i wish handheld games would be cheaper here in the UK.. We have to pay the same price as home console games for 3DS games. About $70-$80, you guys have it easy..) But no matter what im sticking with retail, the Vita has no internal memory and theres no way im paying stupid amounts of money for a SD card.

Yeah I agree :(

and I was complaining about $40,

the games should vary from $19-$35

especially when you trade them in and eventually sell them back, they become worthless.

Hearing $60 definetely took me off guard. But sooner or later handheld games are going to increase in price to. PSP games used to be 39.99, it seems only natural that Vita games cost $49.99 or higher.

I wonder if devs can truly make profits off AAA Vita games at 39.99.

Actually PSP games debuted at $49.99. anyway, new games should be $39.99. The PSN version should be $5-$10 cheaper.( I doubt the gap will be that big though)
