With the downloadable PS1 games on PSN Store, like Wild Arms and Castlevania,

Do you need the backward compatable PS3 to run them, or are they ran in an emulator or recoded for PS3/PSP use?

Wanted to know before I spent a few bucks on Wild Arms.

any ps3 can play ps1 games, even from disk

really? I was under the impression that only the models that had the emotion chipset could.

Nope that has to do with the PS2 compat.

PSX games are ALL compatible...minus Thrill Kill *Cries*

Thats good to know, Its been a LONG time since I owned a PS1, and I bet you can find some really good classics dirt cheap.

Humm, wonder if I can dig up a copy of King's Field 2 anywere..
