indeed, though being I've only played 3 or 4 hours of my Dragon Age Orgins copy I got for $20. I would rather play that more, then drop $60 for this one.

The first one was so BORING! I bought the PC version for 10 bucks and can't regret it more. Played it for an hour then left it behind.

You gave a huge rpg like that a whole hour ? What patience you showed ! Seriously though, the game isn't for everyone, especially the younger generations of kids. It's a traditional d&d style rpg, where character building, dice rolls and tactics take president over timing your button presses or fast twitch reflexes, especially when playing on nightmare. It's more of a thinking mans rpg. The writing/dialog/characters are VERY well done. And they created interesting lore for a new ip, if you like reading fantasy. (codex entries) Us old school rpg players appreciate that stuff.

No wonder the op liked that vid. You want a damn action game, not an rpg. lol. Hopefully they still have the pause & give commands aspect on consoles, combined with harder difficultys, to suit that style of play. And mabye we could all be happy !

Loved the first game, having little concerns with the 'new' choices Bioware is doing but am willing to give them a chance and won't judge until I play the game myself.

After all, Kotor, Mass Effect 1,2, Dragon Age and my favorite classics - Neverwinter Nights, Baldurs Gate were all enjoyable for me.

I'd say an hour is pretty decent, especially if he disliked the game the entire time

Well they do now. I'm more a fan of tactical rpgs myself, although i do like both kinds. But there are so few tactical wrpgs on consoles, it would be a shame to see them go the action only route. Especially Bioware. I didn't like the look of her spamming those fireballs though. What happened to spell cooldowns ? I'm starting to think i might have to get a pc and play the "real" rpgs i missed out on. Baulders Gates, Planescape:Torrment, Fallout 1&2, Icewind Dales, Neverwinter Nights.

I'm looking foward to LOTR War In The North, Dungeon Seige 3 http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/03/dungeon-siege-3-gameplay-footage-lays-siege-to-your-eyes/ and Dungeon Hunter http://www.joystiq.com/2010/09/08/dungeon-hunter-gets-hd-remake-for-ps3/ - To play with CO-OP with friends. As far as a single player experience goes, the true rpgs like DAO are much better, imo.

I didn't like the art design of the first from the stuff that I saw. Part 2 looks pretty good though I'm defently picking it up.

What I want from an RPG is a great, strong, moldable story with choices and whatnot, character creation, an action oriented (but not beat'em up) version of combat and, if available, co-op. Co-op is great for RPGs. But lack of co-op is fine when I have such great, amazing co-op games that aren't RPGs.

Dungeon Siege III is on my radar as well. It's like Diablo for consoles :)

Yeah, we did that's a terrible excuse. Whatever you are missing out on a game that you have no reason to dislike if you like the second one so much.
