Which is better and why?

I tried demons souls and it was too hard for me because I hate redoing sections. But imo dragon age and oblivion are tied. If you like open world exploring and lots action get oblivion. If you like a good story and turn based real time combat go with DA. Cant go wrong with both though
Okay lets make it easier DA means Dragon Age DS means Demons Souls and O means oblivion
I am gonna ask a question and u put those initials in place.
1 to 5 DA for me, yes i love the graphics....Okay lets make it easier DA means Dragon Age DS means Demons Souls and O means oblivion

Haven't played Dragon Age just because of EA games making only pieces of sh!t last years - checked out all available trailers and got to conclusion that EA has made a game with good ad campaign and movies AND BAD IN-GAME GRAPHICS AND GAMEPLAY again!!!
Oblivion was my first game on PS3 and actually it was much better than other Bethesda's work - Fallout 3 (spent about 10x more time playing Oblivion than in Fallout 3, which actually has lost all the fun from Fallout 2 and Fallout tactics)
and yes...Demon Souls and Uncharted 2 were the only games worth every cent paid for them this year:).
I'll just put it out in short about demon souls:
1) best graphics for RPG so far on PS3 (including characters, armor & weapons, landscapes, enemies...everything)
2)only RPG game actually forcing you to finally start using your brain cells instead of just pushing "attack" button your whole playthrough
3) every first time you have beaten Boss demon will stay in your memory for a very long time (and I still remember how I laughed and danced when killed my first human controlled Black phantom invader:D)
4) if you'll be able to get platinum trophy in this game - you'll get much more respect than platinuming 10 other games like Batman, Assassins Creed, Hannah Montana and other sh!t like that (which really only proves that you have played them and have wanted to get some platinum trophies badly)
i didnt play demons soul but dragon age>oblivion. theres no way im buying demons soul no matter how good it is..i dont need to get frustrated over a video game..:PWhich is better and why?

IMO it goes like this: Oblivion>>Demon's Souls>Dragon Age
They're all really good though. And I thoroughly enjoyed/am enjoying them all.

I got Oblivion and Dragon Age - i am in the UK so no Demon's Souls here yet - and i can say that i am much much more engaged inDragon Age.
Open-world gameplay is great, yes, but you will need to take drugs to get the motivation to do the side-quests in Oblivion and the main quest is not emotionally engaging either. Fallout 3 was better in this regard, so i don't have problems with this type of game.
Demon's Souls, from what i've seen and read, looks and sounds like a non-plot game. Everyone talks enthusiastically about the difficulty, which makes me suspicious about other aspects in their lives that they might want to explore. Seriously, "this game is punishing, i love it."?
I'm a huge fan of demon's souls. The intensity is what draws me in. The combat is constantly epic, intense, and overwhelming. The story isn't straightforward and the developer makes you piece it together on your own. There's a lot of ways you can interpret the story line. The classes in demon's souls are pretty much useless once you get to new game+ and basically all they are there for is stat makeup and how hard you want the game to be. (If you want it easy play royal if you want it hard play barbarian).
Demon's souls online gameplay is pretty innovative too. You can leave hints on the ground for other players, invade other players' games to pvp, join another player in co-op, or even functioning as the 3rd dungeon's final boss. There's a lot of replayability (I've beaten it at least 8 + times over 400 hours including the asian version) and it's even fun to go back to every once in awhile.
Dragon Age isn't my cup of tea. I like action from the get go and I hate how long it takes to find something interesting. 8-10 hours for the game to actually start getting good . The story is phenomenal but that's just about it. Bioware didn't really bring anything new with this game but it's still an enjoyable title. I just dislike choosing my dialogue (I love mass effect tho) and queueing up attacks and letting the rest do it for me.
Never played oblivion and haven't really had the urge to do so.
probably doesn't help and I'm just assuming you have a PC (the better versions are on that) but according to game rankings
Oblivion (PC) 93.87%
Oblivion (PS3) 92.98%
Demon's Souls (PS3) 90.24%
Dragon Age (PC) 90.17%
Dragon Age (PS3) 86.08%
reviews are all opinions anyways, so take that with a grain of salt but do some research and just pick the game you find more appealing.
Lol, true. Pot + Vaporizer = Side quests complete.I got Oblivion and Dragon Age - i am in the UK so no Demon's Souls here yet - and i can say that i am much much more engaged inDragon Age.

I wanna try Dragon Age out, I gameflied Oblivion on the 360 when I had it, I wanted to get into it but I just couldnt, same for Fallout 3 on Bethesda side of things....and yeah if Demon Souls is really hard like some are saying then I'm passing for now. Anyway I'm in a fight with Madden's AI atm.
Demon's Souls = better gameplay than the other two. I prefer the class/levelling system in DS. I also prefer the real time fighting system. DS has fun gameplay that isn't cluttered down by unnecesssary bells and whistles.
By contrast, the other two games are full of bells and whistles (especially Dragon Age). Some of the bells and whistles are fun, but some just add unnecessary clunkiness. Oblivion's open world freedom is great in theory, but in practice, the lack of structure bogs down the pace of the game. Draon Age's endless branching dialogue trees have a similar effect on the pacing.
More action oriented gamers will prefer Oblivion over Dragon Age due to the first person real time battle system. In Dragon Age's battle sysem you mostly watch computer controlled characters fight amongst themselves. (Sure, you can take 3rd person control of party members, but you never really feel like you are in the trenches fighting for your life like you do in the other two games.) Dragon Age's appeal is its storytelling, definitely not its battle system. I think both DA and Oblivion have interesting storylines. DA has an edge in character development because it involves you recruiting party members and you learn all their backstories. Oblvion doesn't have the party recruitment so you don't get to learn the backstories of a bunch of party members.
I only have Demon's souls and Oblivion so this is jsut going to be between those too.
Despite this, I think Demon's Souls is the better game, only slightly better though. They really are completely different games. If I were you, I'd get both. The only thing that's putting it ahead of Oblivion is the incredibly complicated levelling system (for me anyway). I have to plan ahead how many levels of each skill I'm going to get up before I level up my character which dramactically slows down the pace of the game and makes it less fun overall. You should definately read about the levelling system before buying the game.
Oh, and Demon's Souls really isn't that hard. It's definately not easy but I've been maknig decent progress through it and I'm not the best gamer out there.
Demon Souls is one of the best games ever made. Dragon Age and Oblivion don't even come close this masterpiece.

ROFL nice man. Ive wanted to try the volcano for a while, nobody I know has one. :)1. Dragon Age - Better story, gameplay, world, etc.
2. Demon's Souls - Awesome online interaction and brutally tough.
3. Oblivion - Not a bad game by any means, but I didn't get into it, and it didn't quite stack up to Morrowind for me.
That's my order. Dig it? Good.
I've never heard of "turn-based, real time combat." Could you explain this phenomenon, as it seems to be an oxymoron?I tried demons souls and it was too hard for me because I hate redoing sections. But imo dragon age and oblivion are tied. If you like open world exploring and lots action get oblivion. If you like a good story and turn based real time combat go with DA. Cant go wrong with both though

I hear its the future of RPG combat, just you wait, JUST YOU ALL WAIT!!!!!!!
Hmm I've never played DA or DS but I have over 200 hours of gameplay on Oblivion and I can safely say it's a great game :) I love the freedom in the game and the AI
It is for sure, I just can't stand how the characters look when running around.Hmm I've never played DA or DS but I have over 200 hours of gameplay on Oblivion and I can safely say it's a great game :) I love the freedom in the game and the AI

Dragon Age or Oblivion. You really can't go wrong with either. Demon's Souls just wasn't very compelling to play for me. I've said why plenty of times before, but basically I feel like the game tests your patience more than it tests your skill. I absolutely love the other 2 though.
I think that Demon's Souls tests your skill more than most other RPGs. You have to be able to time your attacks and blocks, acknowledge which weapon works best in which environment, understand the attack patterns of enemies amoung other things. You can't simply hack your way through the level, nor can you spend hours grinding and waltz through the level without taking any damage.Dragon Age or Oblivion. You really can't go wrong with either. Demon's Souls just wasn't very compelling to play for me. I've said why plenty of times before, but basically I feel like the game tests your patience more than it tests your skill.
