I found a nice looking white Dual Shock 3 for $59.98 with shipping included. Is it worth buying it now just to use with DMC4 and Super StarDust HD or should I just wait till they actually release them in the US to get one?

I'm one of the gamers with the mindset that I don't really need the rumble to enjoy the game, but think it would be cool to have. My brother just got one but it doesnt work with COD4 which is horrible...you think they would come up with a patch to fix that because it would certainly add a nice element to the game to feel a grenade go off on the other side of a wall...or directly at your feet lol

vibration in shooters always distracted me. I dont know why. That just comes from playing socom 1,2,3, combined assault

well i dont know about you but im waiting for the US release....im fine without rumble probably because im more of a computer gamer (mouses and keyboards don't vibrate :P)
when is it out in north america? And 58 bucks seem reasonable, just around the same price if they would sell it here i guess. And yes there will be a patch for CoD4 eventually to support rumble, but maybe not until dual shock 3 is out here, eventually every single game would have it supported.
Yeahi turn off rumble in all the shooters I play at least for online. But here is why I bought one which I got for 55 total. Because i'm paying less than I think it will cost in the states for one. I'm assuming they will cost 59.99. Two you can still trade in a sixaxis at gamestop for 24 dollars with your gamestop card. Once the dualshock 3 comes out over here I can bet you a sixaxis will trade in for less than ten. So unless you plan on keeping your sixaxis i don't see why you would not just do it now.
I ordered mine last friday. got it for 34 pounds so it's in line with the price of a sixaxis in the UK... BS... but yeah, i'm more excited at the fact that ppl have said it's sturdier than the sixaxis than the rumble feature itself. when i handle the sixaxis I feel like if i twist it too hard it's going to snap. :? but yeah i say go for it... unless you want to wait for it to come to the US. otherwise www.play-asia.com usually has some pretty good deals. Or Ebay.
how about you guys wait and buy it from gamestop when it comes out in the us. or buy from walmart. You wont learn your lesson from importing items unless they break and you have noone to take it back too. gamestop has a product replacement plan for 5 dollars and if you breaks FOR ANY REASON you can bring it back...same as does radioshack and walmart...THINK ABOUT IT FIRST
That is a good price considering that when it hits the US, you'd pay around $54-55 with tax. It works great with Uncharted and Pixel Junk Monsters even has rumble.
Thanks for the advice everyone. After trying my brothers on Super StarDust HD, I decided I would get one so I can use it with Devil May Cry 4 in a week. Wooo!
Its amazing. I would strongly advise you getting it. It feels heavier which is a definate adv. and the rumble just brings the games back to life. The price is about the same as what your gonna pay here too
definetly worth it. i got mine (white) and i think it's awsome. besides when ds3 hits US it will be 50 plus tax which will be closer to 55... might as well get it now.
