I just got a Dualshock 3 from a store near where I live.

I noticed that the analog sticks offer less resistance, and feel a lot looser than my Sixaxis controllers. Have any other DS3 owners experienced the same? If not, let me know so I can go return it.

I imported mine from play Asia.com and yes, I noticed the sticks were kinda loose too. Where do you live? is it even out yet?

I live in Canada, but there's this place where they import DS3s and sell, so I got it there. I was just wondering about the analog sticks because I have 28 days to go exchange it.

I noticed (atleast with mine) that it felt like there was sand in the LEft analog stick. Whever I moved it, it would feel like theres sand or something in the socket.

Mine's just a little loose, especially the right analog stick, which kinda sucks because I use it for aiming in COD4.

Mine's the polar opposite. It's too smooth, with no resistance at all. Throws off my aim.

IV GOT THE ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

iv been looking on these sites for ages now lookin for a way to stop the anolog sticks, sticking and creeking. and there isnt a solution. i looked on youtube looking for a soluution but all i found were many tuturials on how to take it appart.
this didnt really help me becasue i had done it many times befor. so i toulck it apart and tried every thing cleaning it etc didnt work

and heres the solution:

1. take your ps3 controller appart:

take the five little screws out the back and remove the back. (dont worry the r2 and l2 buttons will dangle and the piece of plastic between the r1 and r2/ l1 and l2 buttons will fall out)

there is a little screw under the battery which allows you to remove the board.

after the board is removed you will see the anolog stick are on the other side, pull the analog sticks of the holding the base of the board so the "boxes" dont come of.

then i got some chain lubricating oil for a motor bike, and sprayed it into the "box" jentaly, then it didnt seem to have worked so i left it face up and carried on looking on the internet for a solution because it was annoying then when i was just about to give up. i was putting it back together and i realised it didnt creek and didnt jam anymore.

so if you would like to do exctly the same as me i think i left it about 10-20 minutes face up.

i hope this helps and i hope you havent been looking for too long because i know it is frustrating.

my psn is newtons_92
konami id is newtons_92
and my mgo players name is Sam Newton
