I honestly don't see what the big deal about rumble is. So the things moves in your hand, big deal lol. I have the DS3 and don't care if I use that one or regular Sixaxis. But $50is a good price for DS3.

If you didnt care then why would you go through all the trouble of importing it?

i personally say NO. vibration always disturbs me in the game. for example, you crash, and instead of activating an airbag, the controller rumbles. LOL :D

Of course you should. You want another controller anyway, so, why not buy a rumble enabled one? :P

Since I only have one Sixaxis with my PS3, a DS3 will most likely be my 2nd controller, but I'm not going to bother with it until it becomes convenient or necessary for me to have one. And since I'm the only one in my home that plays games on my PS3, that's not likely to happen any time soon. But when/if I go out to get another controller, I figure I might as well get the one with rumble.

Rumble makes a huge difference for me. Take MLB 2k7 for example (yes, I know we're up to 2k8 now, but I only played 2k7 thus far). Playing the 360 and PS3 demos of both, I found getting the timing down for a perfect pitch MUCH easier to do on the 360 version almost entirely because you had that rumble feedback going right when you were reaching your limit. Not having that on the PS3 demo really screwed me up a lot more than I'd care to admit to. On a related note, did sony fix the L2/R2 triggers on the DS3? I find the SIXAXIS incredibly hard to keep a grip on, because my fingers keep slipping off these triggers every single time I want/have to press on them quickly. Especially knowing the games I like to play, this would really impair my ability to play well at all. :(

Also, in MLB 08 The Show, when you're placing your pitch and the ball indicator goes invisble, you can't tell if the pitch is out of the strike zone if you have no rumble.

Rumble is nice. Also feels reassuring to hold a controller that is 40% heavier and more durable.

The color is also opaque black and not see through like the sixaxis.

Its going to sell in the US for $55 bucks, and add tax, its the same price as importing.

honestly i wasn't impressed with the dual shock 3. my friend let me borrow his that he imported so i could use it to play DMC4 with. the rumble is no where near as good as 360 controller. while i was playing DMC4 i barely even noticed the rumble. But on the 360 version it's noticable. I donno if capcom just didn't want "extreme" rumble in DMC4 on PS3 or if it was the dual shock 3 that couldn't produce the rumble i was expecting. that's just my 2 cents though. I finished the last half of DMC4 with my standard six axis controller.

Oh? That's a great price bud. I wasn't able to find any for less then 69.99$ CAN.

I'm pretty much waiting for Best Buy or Future Shop to receive Dual Shock 3 on April 15th so I can get mine and the waiting time is finally over.

I'd get a black color, only because It complements, well - nice and shiny black PS3 console. ;)

For those that have it, does the Dual Shock 3 keep the same type of triggers that the current SIXAXIS does? If so, I'm going to be really upset, because I really hate the new triggers on the SIXAXIS over the L2/R2 buttons for PS controllers prior. They (single-handedly?) ruin my ability to keep a comfortable grip on the controller, because every time I have to press on them quickly for anything, my fingers keep slipping off. Personally it drives me **** nuts.
