I don't know why, but I always take out my UMD when I'm not playing it. I'm probably sure it's no big deal but I developed habit of never leaving a disk, UMD, or anything else in any system.
But what about everyone else? Just wondering.

I've been gaming for a while, and when we used cartridges I left it in (mostly to keep them off the floor). When Cds and their cases came out, unless I'm trying to finish a game, or I'm not going to be playing for a couple of days I keep them in their cases.
Hahaha, you remind me of myself just after I by something new. Screen protectors, case, freakin out of a little mark, paranoia to the max.
It's all good, the umd are probably safer in the psp than anywhere else and it won't harm the psp at all.
i do all the time. is that bad? my umds are breaking but i think that is because i have a bad third-party case. i wanted to trade flatout for burnout legends at gamestop but they wouldn't let me cause it was broke and i have no money so imma super glue it! when you take the top plastic part (the part that says UMD) of from the white part, i think it loads faster. and yes i know about replacement umds but i don't like online shopping and i can't find them in stores.
