My setup consists of an older 53" 720p/1080i projection screen TV, Nintendo Wii, Xbox360, DVD player, Dish Network box and the newly acquired PS3. So one input short on the TV.. I'd like to move the DVD Player into my bedroom instead of one of the game systems due to me not having hi def on any other TV. So does playing regular DVD movies on the PS3 hurt it at all? I've herd the 360 gets too hot watching movies for a long time I was just making sure i wasn't going to hurt anything. Anyone else use there PS3 for movies and such?

No, your PS3 will be fine. You can play games, watch movies, listen to msic and when you're all done with that start up Folding@Home if you want. It can take it if you want to do it. Of course the more you use something the quicker it might wear out but I think the PS3 can take all that and give you five years of use. Then it will be time for a PS4.

How can you spend ten hours watching Planet Earth? Wait... you watched that much all at one time!? I probably would have turned it off within the first ten minutes. I enjoy history documentaries, but documentaries about the Earth and animals and crap like that... I just can't stomach them.
