they already killed tony hawk with their skate , and they making dante's inferno competing with god of war 3. Medal of honor competing with Call of duty. Need for speed they try to make the game more reallistic because they wants to kill forza and gran turismo.

Only time I'd consider EA destroying anything is by Dead Space and maybe their upcoming MMA game.

Medal of Honor came out three years before Call of Duty, and had Steven Spielberg behind it.

Tony Hawk games commited suicide, I really don't think Dante's Inferno can kill God of War, and Medal of Honor has already been killed by CoD.funsohng

You could say that about any large publisher that has games in the same genres as other publishers. Personally I enjoy the variety, and the competition forces everyone to try harder.

Actually Dante's Inferno is a pretty goo strategy. I mean GOW3 is the last game. Inferno still has two parts of the poem to do. They could make sequels without GOW even being in the picture.

true... THQ have the more popular fighters on their side though. I wish EA would do the UFC games :( anyways, have you seen the first trailer for UFC 2009? it was just as impressive as the MMA trailer, so there's still a chance that the MMA game could go downhill from here on out like UFC 2009 did....

your post is so wrong because the EA president doesnt say "lets make a shooter, lets make a hack n' slash" the developer companies (i.e visceral games) present an IP to the president...the president must approve it so that the dev company gets funded to start the development of the game. Tony hawk ride, brutal legend, dante's inferno, need for speed, MOH...none of those share the same developerslightleggy

My point is that the TC doesn't seem to realize that game companies are all in it for the money and it is their job to come up with their own alternatives to other games available on the market.

Great graphics, physics, tricks, a HUGE open world where you can skate about everything without loading screens and without ramps and half pipes everywhere.. Hours upon hours of gameplay are packed into this game. The first game, and the second were great. The online mode is good, the DLC for the game is good, the replay editor adds even more to the replay value, allowing you to create Skate videos and share them. So yeah , thanks for the compliment..

Why is everybody ripping on Skate? I loved that game. It is much more of a challenge and realistic than dumb Tony Hawk press X to ollie, [] for flip trick, and O for grab trick. Skate also had cool graphics and a nice open world. Hall of Meat was a nice touch (having competitions with friends to break the most bones) and some of the videos uploaded onto the Skate network were quite amusing.

They didn't do too good a job on Skate? Don't make me laugh.. They did an excellent job on it. Great graphics, physics, tricks, a HUGE open world where you can skate about everything without loading screens and without ramps and half pipes everywhere.. Hours upon hours of gameplay are packed into this game. The first game, and the second were great. To say I feel like an idiot at the moment is an understatement, I was thinking of Tony Hawk Ride for some odd reason. My apologies mate.

I love how people are saying DI is a GoW rip-off. Was GoW the first hack and slash ever? No. Also, EA has Battlefield, which destroys CoD in every way except for little kids screaming in their mics. NFS isn't as good as GT or Forza but it's still fun. For Tony Hawk, it killed itselfzbdyx
