i have that same concern, but unforunately theres no other way to eject the disc, but maybe an update will enable an onscreen eject option.

is there any way to eject your disc without pressing the eject button on the ps3 itself? i really, really, dont like putting fingerprints on it. . .jpridgen0hahaha i understand what you mean but you may be babying your ps3 a bit too much ;)

I barely even tap the eject button with my finger tip to get a disc out. That little lip right there is still pristine.

Yeah... the ps3 is so shiny, I find it quite hard to keep it that way with dust which, shows up very clearly. :P Can't imagine what my ps3 will look like in a years time. lol.
:P
??? you find it odd that someone wants to keep something they paid 600 dollars for clean?jpridgen0you know...if they kept it in the box, i bet it would be spotless!
Not for the sake of being law abiding but, rather, in order to - and to the extent to which obedience will ensure that the 'just' parts of the legal system will not be renderred 'ineffective'.Thomas-Crownman what is up with your quote. I've seen it for how many months and I don't know what the hell it means.

Ah, I never look at the dates. :P
Hold Down the PS button on the controller for about 3 seconds, then scroll down to Eject disk, and there you go. This is the only place I ever quit out of games, eject my games and turn off the system. Wouldn't do it any other way.
When you have selected the game or disc, press triangle and you will given a few options, eject disc is among them.

Ya there is another way. On the XMB under the Game heading, highlight the disc thats in the PS3 and press triangle and you should see an eject option. Press it and your disc ejects without you getting a fingerprint on your PS3. I know how you feel. I'm always keeping the PS3 clean so it will last as long as possible. :)
