Elder Scrolls of Oblivion Confusion, did I finnish the game or what?

Hey blokes,

I am now level 8 and finnished the quest where the new King turned himself into a Dragon to take out the Deadra Boss. It seems like both bit in the grass. In anyway, am I done now? Is this ist ? All Oblivion gates are closed now? I remembered scrolling around the forests where eventually I found locations of other independent oblivion gates (before finnishing that quest). I usually went in, took out all hostiles (with my fists lol), and you are telling me now that all of it is gone ? No more deadra and so forth ? So I am done, is this it ??? I mean, the main purpose of the game has been accomplised. Sure, I know about the quests in finding rare herbs and all that girly stuff, but as for the main purpose of the game, which the title reminds me off, I am done right ??

You didn't level up much did you? I suppose you are done with the main quest yet I thought the game shined most in it's side quests and guild quests. I suggest you do those. Plus you have it's expansions, Knights of Nine and Shivering Isles. Shivering Isles is about as long as the main quest and I consider it a must do for Oblivion adventurers. Not to mention, perhaps leveling up and making your character more how you'd like to be would be great. You're missing out on loads of armor and abilities.

Not sure if you can edit your topic message but a spoiler could be put up for your information on the finality of the main quest. As much as I'd like to think everyone has played Oblivion, it isn't true.

And there's loads more to do other than "girly stuff". Join the guilds for a start.

In my experience, you cannot beat this game...

It's too time consuming to get EVERYTHING...
