I am playing Oblivion again and I have to say that Oblivion is almost perfect with the big map that is the size of a MMO game

and how you could do so many things such as guilds and many other quest including the Main story and DLC...

How do you think Elder Scrolls V would be ? Since they are planing online, it could be a lot more different but in many good ways..

I hope they put fishing on there lol :P

and I expect a lot of missions that involve co-op and making your own guild perhaps

While I hope it isn't made into an MMO. TES V should be more dynamic, expand enchanted weapons and armors, more weapon variety, more unique magic system, more lore-based unique items, etc. I hope Bethesda took some notes from the modding community. Oblivion for the PC is like a different game altogether with various mods. And they should make construction sets console compatible, so we can see some great customized versions for PS3.

But this is probably all just a fool's dream :P

Oh yeah... well, I'd atleast like more options for followers. I don't really want a praty system, just the option to play along with another character.

I haven't even heard anything of The Elder Scrolls V being in development...but, if it is, I would really hope they don't waste time on multiplayer.

If it does have online it should be coop like borderlands or something. I wish they had trophies for Oblivion so i could keep track of things since the thigns to do were overwhelming. Things I would like to see is more vary land scape, more eniemys, able to hire mercanires or teammates (like ac2), more things to do (like fishing someone said.) and more cities

Meh, I'd die for Morrowind on id tech 5, with Demons Souls combat at Oblivions user friendliness. Then just change the points at level up to +5 no matter what.

^ I meant like Demons Souls third person combat, in its complete form (just blocking, heavy/strong, parries and dodge). I meant Oblivion as in its user friendliness, compared to say Morrowind (menus and stuff).

Well Morrowind is better in that it has more varied environments, a better story, fixed enemy levels/loot, and more factions/houses etc. Oblivion was better in combat with no dice rolls for hitting the target and it was much better presented, introducing all of the gameplay systems like alchemy etc. Morrowind is a much better game, but Oblivion did improve some things, although it dumbed down others.

Idk if it's me, but I think on Morrowind they allowed you to fly (using levitation feather or w/e) than they did on Oblivion.... U remember how u could float on Morrowind right ?

One big improvement would be a much wider variety of voice actors. Like maybe 20 for each gender for each race. Oh and more varied characters in the looks department. They shouldn't all look like they are the same family. Someone above said they should to the mod community. I definitely agree, some of the mods were what kept me playing after a while. Even simple things like an innebriated mod made it more fun. Better combat would be good, and maybe a bit more vibrancy or clarity in some textures. More random things to do. Like there are a lot of things to keep you mucking around in games like GTA, RDR, Mafia 2, it would be great to get some Tamriel versions of that. And non-telepathic guards. That was so annoying.

After reading this... I would really like a fully fledged crafting system, for creating any type of weapon etc, a complete hunting system for getting deer etc and some kind of construction system for making houses. Don't get on my case for asking this, but a well done Runescape type system for that stuff would be pretty cool (WELL DONE). Also, some way of trading with friends, even if you don't meet in the actual game world, like you do in Pokemon.

Like where you put up an item and what you'll accept for it (either in cash or a specific item) and if someone else agrees with it they can trade, when you next play you've got the money/etc that they traded for your item? Or like real time trading between two people? I really hope the next TES game reworks the weapon drops/spells/enchantment system. It's too easy to create an overpowered character. If I want an Ebony Longsword with +10 strength and +10 frost damage, I should have to get a mining skill high enough to mine ebony rock, fight my way through a mine with high level creatures (no level scaling) to mine said rock, wait in-game days while it respawns/use other spots, mix it with various other metals, then I smelt the ebony into a longsword. Then by defeating high level UNIQUE monsters for gems as well as mining them and trading with other players to get them, I proceed to enchant them if I have a high enough skill, or I pay another player to enchant them (would have to be done like the trading: you post on an in game trading board, someone (who the game checks has a high enough enchant skill) accepts your enchantment, at which point other players can't do it for a preset amount of time, and the person enchanting it for you gets a duplicate copy of your item which they cannot use themselves (so they can't steal it), and goes and enchants it, taking it back to the trading board for your reward).

the biggest improvement Elder Scrolls V can have on PS3 is what IV and Morrowind always had on PC - mod tools. along with Fallout 3, the last three games made by Bethesda command the largest modding community in the genre, and the sheer amount of creativity and playability easily dwarfs the vanilla contents. ESV needs to bring the mod tool to the PS3 - it'll be nothing short of revolution for the platform.

I could role with that... I really think TES V should be at least 2 player online co op... I think it'll be fun.. It doesn't even have to change the game.. Just as long as u can have a servant join your adventures and the world will be twice as stronger.. If you guys want to trade, you both would have to agree on it and you'll quickly go into a magical trading room where no one could cheat each other or w/e you know ?

Well it's simple enough so it'd be easy to work. The Move controller would be the weapon, you'd press a button to hold up your shield/bash/parry.

God I hope it isn't an MMO. What do I hope it will be? 1 - New province (maybe more than one) 2 - Better NPC AI 3 - Greater array of crafting skills 4 - To have at least the same depth was IV. I can't wait for it.

I can't wait for this game if they ever get round to doing it. The only thing that worries me, although Bethesda for me always make awesome games, they tend to try out a new idea for a game that usually ruins it for me, or at least hinders it (the levelling system in oblivion and the ending in Fallout 3)

Who's ever bright idea it was for those two things needs the sack. I can see why they did it, not owning everything straight away at higher levels and it becoming too easy and boring, but then again why would you spend ages levelling only to show absolutely no results and still get pwned by a goblin at lvl 50?

Someone mentioned for the construction skill to make it a bit like Runescape's, which I think is a good idea but with Runescape you can only really make box shaped houses/rooms. I think a Sims 3 style of house creation would be better (obviously not as in depth as sims 3)

Also I want huge creatures to hunt that, if i dont act quick enough, will either one hit me or eat me. NPC hunting parties also.

Guilds Fighters (different groups? melee, fists, distance) Assassins Thieves Vampire Mages Necromancy Pirates Merchants blacksmith Imperial guard?? (I really think there should be more but I cant think of any at the moment) My biggest problem with oblivion was how repetitive it got. MORE VARIETY IN DUNGEONS IS A MUST!!! I felt like I was doing the same one over and over again (oblivion gates got repetitive as well) having puzzles you have to solve to get throught the dungeon would be fun. Also more weapons and armor along with little random trinkets that don't really have a point but at least your not always finding the same apple, shoes and quill in every box in cyrodiil. When you start the game only show the area right around you on the map (maybe like a city you start in) you should have to discover the places for yourself to fill in the map. Maybe you could find maps in books or buy the information from a NPC. Longer days and nights, being a vampire was hard when the night were like 20 mins long Much longer assassins guild storyline Better leveling up. Make it so leveling up is a good thing, I tried to avoid it in oblivion, cause when I leveled up everything else did to. There should be places where it's to hard to go until your strong enough while the easy places stay easy (no poor little bandits with glass armor) Many more monsters/wildlife. Creatures that would attack you on sight, ones that would attack if provoked or ones that would run. Some could travel in packs. Fishing Slave/companion/pet (you need to be able to leave them behind if you felt like going solo) Maybe not build your own house but pick from a couple different house plans. but be able to place the furniture you buy where you want Obviously a better crime system ABSOLUTELY NO ONLINE that would just ruin the game Destructible environments. Not to the extent where you could destroy an entire city or even houses. But you should be able to set trees, grass, boxes, and the such on fire (if you have played far cry 2, something like that) also you should be able to hack trees down with a sword or axe or nock them down with a particularly strong spell. Be able to buy stores/inns/restaurants and higher people to run it while collecting a weekly income or something. Maybe rent out houses you own. I like play stealthy so more stuff in that department would be awesome. Ex. slit enemy's throat if you sneak up from behind, shoot an arrow with a rope that you can them clime and go through the second story window, make it so you can kill with the environment (roll boulders down a hill, nock a tree down on them that kind of stuff) also more poisons you could slip in there food or drink. Maybe some sort of noise maker spell that you could set off from a distance as a distraction. Also make it so you can climb trees and buildings and the such. guns, that is a big no no. More npcs, children aren't really needed, and more people for the voices Maybe a little more fantasyish world, like an underwater city or maybe a flying city (this could be for the magic people) reached by a hot air balloon type ferry while the under water one is for argonians. Better combat You shouldn't have to put fifty arrows in a guy's head to kill him. Maybe body part specific damage (arrow in the head gives way more damage then say one in the leg) I think gambling could be fun but it shouldn't be taken to far to where the game is filled with little mini games which get annoying after a couple plays. People should stop moaning about the loading screens. Really, is not worth that short wait to a have a more detailed and larger world? Alright, I think I've written enough for now.

i'm currently playing dragon age origins and instantly fell in love with it. with the sequel coming, it should make the wait for ES 5 a little more bearable lol.

I would probably rather it not be online, but if they add co-op I guess it would only make it better. But I fully expect this game to blow my effing mind. Oblivion was absolutely amazing and TES5 better live up to its name.

  • Voice acting improve (get more people to do the different voices)
  • more mounts/weapons/gear
  • if they do online, do it like borderlands (2 multiplayer split-screen or 4 online with drop-in drop-out, at least imo)
  • more followers
  • more spells
  • improve the third person (I found it hard to play with a mage in 3rd person, don't know if t was just me)
  • more depth to the dialogue

and I would be happy, I would just be happy if they announced it so :P
