8071053D - Hard boot the PS3, turn off the PS3 to stand-by, flip off the back swtich and remove the power cord. Then shut off your modem/router, for about 5 mintues, then turn the modem back up first and let it sync, then turn the router back on(if using one) and let it sync. Reconnect your power cable and flip the back swtich up again. Then make a new network connnection.

you dont NEED to unplug the PS3 just put it in standby
unplugging the modem and the router is what does the fix as it resets the IP so that it can be shared amongst your machines
once you plug your modem and router in THEN you can turn your PS3 back on and redo/or initially set up your Internet connection on the PS3
at least i know now that i'm not the only one with this problem my trophy sync goes to 92% then i get the error, its been like that all day, no problem yesterday though, i'm surprised no one else has been coming forward about this error, most people prolly don't sync thier trophies often, then they'll wonder why they gotta earn'em all again if thier system crashes, no point in just a handfull of people calling up sony cause they turn it around and say theres nothing wrong it must be your connection like they did when everyone got that other error code months ago, we need a another big uprise like before and force them to look into it, we need to get rid of all these ridiculous error codes
From what I've read on other forums the error is affecting everyone but only when trying to sync trophies! Come on Sony - sort it out!!
Hmm I was getting that message last night but now I am not.
However I cannot connect to netflix all of a sudden. Keeps saying try again later if the problem persists visit netflix.com/help
go to netflix help and they just eventually tell you to call sony
