"An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network. (80710723)"

My internet connection with my PS3 is at 100%... And I was just about to go on Call of Duty 4 online, but didn't get the chance to... So can someone explain why this happened and what the cause was? :?

From Playstation.com US forums:

80710723 Possible Port Error - Try opening ports , TCP port: 80, 443, 5223 and UDP port: 3478, 3479, 3658. or add Ps3 to DMZ

You really might want to try creating the connections again on your PS3 system on the same modem/router you are using.

If there are other things using wifi while your playing, you could get logged off. It won't happen much if you go wired.

this same thing happend to me but it was slighlt different. I was trying to downlaod c&c red alert 3: commanders challenge and it kept giving me the same error code as you. I did some searching and found out that 1. it only affects big downloads (2gb) 2. and it only happened to people with qwest internet and WIRE2 routers so my only question is do you have qwest, I do :(

EDIT BY AMNESIAC23 (to avoid bumping the topic again): Once again, this is a VERY old topic. Closing thread.
