i got a ps3 in uk. I have a hdtv downstairs and ps3 works fine on that with hdmi cable.

But i got sdtv upstairs and when i tried connecting ps3 to it, nothing came up on tv screen after searching for the ps3. I than looked at the euro av connector plug and it had about 9 pins missing. is this correct or is the euro av connector ply broken??

Its probably because you set the PS3 to output 1080i.720p..... and when you took the tv upstairs you left those settings on. Your SDTV cannot output any of those resolutions so you get a black screen. And your cable isnt missing any pins its fine.
