The PS3 still plays games... and great ones. It is a reliable machine. It plays bluray movies. None of that has changed.

I am relaxed, but I didn't see this one coming, that is all.. however sometimes I would like SONY to do announcements like M$ do. Come on! Two years ago GTA4, this year FFXIII... these are announcements that SONY normally just don't do...
Yea, and besides, Microsoft only gave us just 1 surprise. Imagine how many Sony will have for us....gamah_killahI agree, all that casual crap was a joke seeing as only the hardcore gamers where watching E3

True, but IMO even if Sony announced nothing... so what? Like LBP, KZ2, GOW3, etc. aren't enough to be getting on with?

Exactly. Sony is going to hit one out of the ball park. Can't wait!
I'll say this, recent sales of the ps3, the fabulous reaction of the public (in the form of sales numbers) to MGS4 and the momentum that Sony has built up over the last year will certainly make sure that Sony is gonna give Microsoft a run for its money, with or without FFXIII as an exclusive.
I think the only justifiable frustration is the fact that SquareEnix has been adamant about ps3 exclusivity for FFXIII for so long. Their decision was just that their decision not Sony's. Perhaps some people feel that Sony should have payed for exclusivity, but I don't think with the current business plan for the ps3 (i.e. to make it profitable rather than move systems) calls for a payment to S-E.
Though, this isn't all that surprising in retrospec. S-E has been saying for a while that they are looking to expand their western market, and Microsoft is ideal for that sort of plan. Not only that, S-E has been whining for so long about Sony's ps3 it's almost as if they could care less that Sony has done everything S-E suggested and criticized them for. They raised the user base, increased sales, dropped the price, and yet SE still isn't satisfied.
I would be quite amused if they didn't sell enough copies on the 360 to pay for that version of the game.
Either way, Sony will be fine, don't sell you ps3, rather enjoy the games you already have. I know I will.
