I don't know about anyone else but my very first Game console was a Sega Genesis. I remeber tons of the classics Sega games take for instance, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, and a ton of others. One game I remeber playing a lot was Golden Axe. Golden Axe is a simple game were you are a warrior battling other knights and monsters tillyou get to the final boss and fight him. For the time is was the best game I had played, but obviously now standards have changed. To my suprise Golden Axe has spawned a remake on the PS3 and 360. I just want to say this looks like it will be fun if its an Improved version of the original. One of the things I liked most about it was the easy use of Magic, compared to more complicated magic uses like Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts which have made it so complicated I don't even bother. I just didn't know if there were any Sega fans out there who played this, and think this will be interesting?
I loved this game as a kid, so I'll have my eye on the new one. However, Sega's track record as of late as been pretty shoddy, so I'm not getting my hopes up too much.
Yep trailer looks good, but I doubt they will be able to keep the epic feel of the original. And Sega is not a top-notch producer nowadays. If it was a Ubi-soft game I would say I'm hyped : P
I'm just worried it will end up like Soni the Hedgehog, a good classic game, but on the newer console's I found it very boring and repetetive. Platformer's and mindless axe swinging were fun before, however I think they should bump it up with a bit more this time around, like an improved story line and newer features flourishing off the orginals qualities. I think it will be like Zelda, and Final Fantasy and turn into its own little RPG and maybe get pretty popular. Or who knows it could flop too. None the less this looks like a game worth getting, if not out of the originals respect.
i am but i think it is one player only which sega should have known this was the reason the old classic was so great. my Friends and i would play together in the arcades.
sega just does not have the foggiest clue what there doing latly. the need to reconstruct there whole company and start fresh to make in the video game world
This is going to be nothing like the original. Just saw the newest trailer with parts of gameplay and it sucks :-( GA was all about coop and few different characters, now we've got one sex-driven female character ... a bunch of lousy looking "dragons" and thats it ? I'd rather stay with the original :-/
