PC gaming and console gaming can't be mixed like that. Sure video cards cost more, but think of it this way. You are using a 7800gtx with the PS3, but I have an 880 Ultra in my system.(I'm actually getting a 2900XT, I don't care for nVidia)
Plus, people who buy the latest video cards for their PCs normally buy all of their parts at the same time. It's a hobby for them, putting together their PCs.
