i desperately need some more space for my ps3 and was looking to buy a new hdd. i need an external one for my pc anyway, so was wondering if its possible to use this with the ps3 as well (eg. save demos, install game data directly to it). i know you can easily change the ps3 hdd but id rather just buy one external hdd than 2 separate ones. thanks for any help

You can connect an external drive to it, but you can't save demos or install game data to it.

Yeah, I don't recommend it. You're better off buying two separate drives.
