I have an 8gb from ebay. Not only is it a 4gb in disguise, but it also got corrupted today after a month of usage-----Downloaded Wild Arms from the Playstation Store via PS3, transferred it to my memory stick, and it tried saving 200+ gb of memory on my stick, creating a file I can not delete. I tried transferring it again, and did the same thing. DONT USE FAKE MEMORY STICKS, ESPECIALLY FROM EBAY! they are a scam.

Now I have to run out and buy an official 8gb just to transferr all my stuff, which is going to dent my pocket of 128.00$.

Wild Arms is on the PlayStation Store? I'm gonna go get it!

And file a complaint on the guy you bought it from on eBay. You should get your money back.

I got mine off eBay, and it's a fake 4GB, and it runs perfectly. Not bad for $29. It's lasted me a little over a year now. How long does it take for them until they get corrupt? Mine's acted like my legit 1GB card ever since I got it... no screw ups. Hmm....

I'm using my fake card for over 3 months now, without any problems...
except for world tour tennis which didnt want to save.
I fixed it though, perhaps this procedure can help you too:

Put in another Pro-Duo card (i had a 32mb one), save your game on that one,
copy the saved game to your pc's hd and recopy the file from the pc too the
fake memory card... this did the thrick for me

Hey guys,I'm gettingmy money back, the seller is allowing me to return it free of charge. I can't post a pic but its the type which looks identical to sony brand, Only without the Sony lettering.

I highly reccomend all of you with fake memory sticks to try loading them up with content, because it seems the majority of them have only half the amount of space that they claim, for instance 8gb > 4gb, and 4gb>2gb. There is a link that explains it all when you google fake memory stick duo. I'm giving in, and purchasing a legit 8gb from circuit city tomorrow for 132$, as I wish to play my PSone games with no problems. I say that's a pretty fair price considering they were 300$ in January.

Also, in case any of you haven't heard, 16gb and 32gb memory stick pro duo have been announced by Sony on another website, due out in 08 and 09 respectively. Google that too, it looks like legit information.

The 16gb and 32gb memory sticks are legit. The news has been around for over half a year now (maybe longer, I don't remember the exact date), but these cards will be coming. I believe these cards will have the new Pro-HG technology which loads and reads data a lot quicker on supported devices. Although the PSP doesn't support this technology, the cards are backwards compatible and therefore will be able to be used on the PSP ;)

yeah, luckly with the new firmware update this year, we won't have a problem with these memory sticks like we initially did with the 8gb cards. I remember when everyone was complaining how we couldn't use 8gb memory sticks due to the PSP's 4GB capacity. I'm glad this is patched up

Whats the big consipiracy with ebay??? We're talking about fake memory sticks here. I knew I was buying a fake memory stick from the start, unfortunately I didn't do my research to find out that they are actually defective.

I started using ebay when I was 18, and now I'm 24. I haven't ever had an issue with buying things on ebay, until now. I've purchased things from hong kong as well, and they've always worked just fine. This memory stick stuff is a mess though. If Sony would just threaten to press charges, then we wouldn't have as big of an issue here.

On the bright side, Best Buy is having a sale on 8GB sticks this week, $119.99. Thats a little better - hopefully I can pick one up tomorrow, and continue to get my PSone collection on the road.
