falling-out...3

i have really enjoyed my time in the wasteland so far but had an annoying bug earlier, even though they apparently patched it-

it happened when i got to that bit where you enter the simulation g.e.c.k thing, i do all the stuff in there, make some kid cry, divorce a couple, initiate a full scale chinese assualt, and rescue me pap....as you do. And then, when i exit the simulation my bloody (ranger) armour has vanished and all i have is the stupid vault 112 jumpsuit, i was fairly annoyed to be honest as i did some quest for 2 hrs for that gear, and then its the only piece of my gear that just goes, bastard bugs! i thought they patched the game! arrgh!

anyhow my main question is whether anybody uses the partner npcs, as i can never be bothered with them, unless its compulsory. I generally find that they slow me down, ussually blow my cover (i play as a stealth character) and i find telling them to follow or stay put all the time is a pain in the arse,

what about everyone else?

I hate partners of any kind because they just mindlessly run after anything and give your position away. I'm always about stealth and sniping. They just run out and get killed anyways.

But do what I do. If you tackle something big especially you're not sure of, make another save file. If mistakes are made, go back to the last one to correct them. If stuff goes missing, reload the last save and put your prized items in storage "safe house" (if you have one). *Megaton is good for that btw if you disarm the bomb. It comes in handy*

well i stole cherry from that russian guy and she died on the way to rivet city... i bought the bodyguard from the paradise slave camp and she died... i killed the one chick n the underground to get the other bodyguard and they all were useless... not to mention saving people for big town they died, i mean it's laughable how useless they are... not to mention when talking to them you can give them a weapon..

as for bugs, i didn't really save just used autosave and went to steal something in flak and shrapnel room in rivet city which to pick the lock you need a skill of 50 (average).. however the door was open but as i was stealing stuff the door closed and my lockpick skill was 47 so i couldn't pick the lock... so i waited (select) for flak or shrapnel to come to sleep which they never did and since i waited for hours it over rid my autosave so i had to start over...

and another time i went into vats with a weapon with no ammo and it wouldn't let me back out of it, so i was stuck in vats and had to start over...

oh and there have been many ridiculous moments in this game just like these two and yet i continue to play lol.
