Just buy the regular version, it has less bugs.

Then buy Pointlook out and The Pitt, the only 2 dlc's that are worth playing.

You're better off getting the standard version of Fallout 3 since it's cheaper.

Considering the price of the dlc's its worth getting the game of year edition. Im about 45 hours into it and had 1 crash.

If you REALLY want all the DLC then i would say buy the GOTY edition a SAVE a LOT, i would go with the standard edition...the DLCs really don't add TOO much, about 2/3 quests each...i would buy standard and then if you like that game a lot buy the GOTY edition or select a few DLCs which you think look great and take it from there

Must play game btw. Dogmeat ftw

from my personal experience it is like this from least to most crashes , comparing the same engine 1.) Oblivion - no crashes at all 2.) Fallout 3 - regular & Goty edition - crash aprx every 4-5 hours 3.) New Vegas - craches every 1-2 hours

I have the goty edition and I had very few problems for about my first 90 hours of gameplay.. after that it got real bad tho. I'm on about 100 hours now and have finished the single player and a large majority of the rest of the game. So imo the game runs fine up until about 90 hours in, then it takes a turn for the worse.. but in saying that by the time mine started to get laggy I'd pretty much had enough of the game anyway. Great game BTW if your into rpg's

I used to have the regular version and sold it and got the GOTY Edition when it came out, i have been playing it for over a year and people must be over exaggerating these bugs because i get the same amount of problems as the regular edition, i don't find my GOTY Edition really buggy, if your game is having mny problems then try disabling auto save.

thats probably the worst tip you could give , if there werent the autosave id lose tons of gameplay hours due to regular freezes of the game where you have to turn off the console and reboot

Yeah, people say to disable the auto save so it lags less, but without the auto save I would have lost a few good hours of gameplay once the game crashed.

I have the GOTY edition. It was working perfectly for like 90% of the game but now i am suddenly getting lots of Slow downs. The game hardly ever crashes on me, but the massive slow downs can get really annoying and sometimes it freezes for little while when lots of things are going on at once..
