Fallout 3 money question

Just wondering how may caps people have aquired by the time they are near the end of the game. I spend a lot of time exploring and have just over 30,000 caps.

Well.... I finished the game with 20.000 or so. Not very rich, I guess:P

Money isn't very urgent in this game. I probably got around 15000 altogether. I kept saving stuff to sell but kept getting overencumbered so i said screw it and dropped everything i didn't need or gave it to Fawkes

About 4,000.Plus more in armor and weapons. I'm just 3 bobble heads off of 20(the three are in vault 108, 106 and deathclaw sanctuary)

I have 5,000 bottlecaps ATM, I'm not near the end of the game, no where near it, to much fun to try and zoom through it. I do keep 1 of every item in my house though, it gives loads of space to pick up & sell items. I put certain things in different place so I know where everything is like I have a weps. locker, a clothes locker and a misc. locker. Makes knowing what you need and don't need so much easier. Just before I set off I have my WG at about 170/270, so I can pick up many items. I'm level 13.

Near 4k. I spend a lot of money on microfusion cells for Gauss rifle and stimpacks. I have PC version of Fallout 3.

289,520 was the Highest amount of caps I've got on my second playthrough on the PS3 version. I spent most of my time grinding, and side quests.

On my first playthrough at the end I think I had somewhere around 150,000 caps. When youre out in the wasteland it gives you your resources, really except at the beginning you dont need to buy anything. But I did sell a lot of stuff because I didnt like dropping it just anywhere, and Fawkes was already loaded.

I'm not really sure. I know it hasn't been that much though. When I get to the upper levels, I usually just use caps for the higher repair guys.

Honestly the only things that are even worth buying are the upgrades for your house. I think those are the only things I actually bought in all 3 playthroughs. Money is pretty worthless in that game. Guess the economy still hasn't improved 250 years into the future...

ive got 35000 caps and i havent finished the game yet lol im trying to do all of the side quests before i finish the game, i like the game too much to just do the main storyline and and not explore the full mapchaos1160

Thats exactly what I did. I completed it the other day and got 74% for the trophies.
