both games are superb and gained positive reviews from various gaming sites, but i'll go with fallout 3 because i had an excellent single player experience playing it. and i have no interest whatsoever in demon's souls. but hey, that's just me.
I think I will get Demon's souls as I wanted to get Fallout 3 Goty but cant find it here.conistantdo you realize it's freakin' hard especially if you're not a hardcore RPG gamer. Fallout 3 is the best RPG game I ever played. It's huge and there is a lot of various stuff to do .

It's not that hard, it get a little tough if you solo in NG+ but after that it actually get easier than NG
fo3 is awesome, thats all i have to say.fifamessiexactly....hands down DS is fun but only for a limited of time...The game is short but the challenge makes it very long and so does the trophies...but if you arent a trophy person (even if you are ) and you just want a good game to play to do multiple things just play Fallout 3.
and mind you Fallout 3 allows you to save anywhere you go and autosaves when you load up a new area or even go to sleep.Fo3 is pretty great (get the GOTY edition). I would recomend it over Demon souls if your easily frustated by dieing alot and repeating parts. But if you like a good challenge then go with demon souls.

Im actually in the same boat kind of as in I was thinking about purchasing one ofthese games soonand throwing Dragon Age Origins into the mix. Fallout is winning for me so far especially seeing that I can get it used for cheap and pick up something else like Valkyria Chronicles or something.
Yeah I actually want that game(Dragon Age) honestly.... Plus you can either buy the 30.00 version of Fallout 3 that i the regular game or the game of the year edition that comes with many extras of DLCIm actually in the same boat kind of as in I was thinking about purchasing one ofthese games soonand throwing Dragon Age Origins into the mix. well, I played both, and hated the fallout3's guts !! I don't get it. remember it might looked good back at 2008 but now? ugh, it's just disgusting and mostly all the environments are the same brown backgrounds :? the characters sound like souless dolls, it's unbelievable.
demon's souls on the other hand is something else, it may be hard but if you have a good internet connection just summon couple of blue phantoms and breeze through enemies "mostly", clear the levels together and feel the great companionship like never demonstrated in any other title.
the thrill you'll feel when you get invaded , the confusion, the uncertainty and the great euphoric feel you get after you kill your first invader are some of the things you will not find in any other game.
demon's souls FTW. ;)
[QUOTE="Laxer04"]Demon's Souls is not for everyone.yeah those noobs have no place in demons souls :P seriously tho TC get demons souls, it will be the best decision you will make in your whole life...everget demon's souls, you will not be dissapointed

I know it might sound like I'm hating on Demon's Souls, I'm not, I actually really enjoy it, but you're leaving out the parts where frustration can set in. You can only summon teammates when you have your body, and invaders can be several levels higher than you. Yes, it's all extremely satisfying, but it can be off putting to some people.

i always have 15+ stornes of ephermeal eyes on me and i never use them. those things are soo damn common is itsn even funny if being in soul form is whats killing it for you learn to die less ;) and another thing invaders can be a bit higher but never too much.. the game sets a level cap on that and if they still give you trouble.. summon a blue phantom[QUOTE="Neosword"]

I really like the game. I think the limit for invaders is 10 levels higher, which is kind of significant. There's a limit on the blue souls too, so if you're way overleveled for one section there might not be any blue souls available.

nah, you are bringing up some good points actually, yeah, I left out how it can be frustrating and oooooooh, can it? so anyone who thinks about buying it should ask, do I have the time to invest in it? do I have the patience? skills will come eventually as long as you are patient with this game. this is just after all.
put in consideration that fallout3 plays as FPS which was a minus for me but lotta people here dig it so that might help you choose.
hope you enjoy whatever you go with.

actually i think the formula for invaders and blue phantoms is 10+(Slvl/10) also the soul difference is pretty negligable this game relies mostly on skill.i will confess i havent played fallout3 on the ps3, i have it on pc HOWEVER i still say fallout 3 is the better game. its not even a question. if you havent played fallout3 by now thats where you should start.
demon souls, while different and fun, dries up fast. after beating the game 4 times i had to throw in the towel. fallout3 has many quests to do and has expansions. demon souls has multiplayer but that only helps it so much.

Just to play devil's advocate here, you also have to replay the entire section of the level up till that point.
40 hours first time, but I did fart around alot. How long has it taken you guys who have Demon's Souls to finish it? (if you have)

I feel like I can't recomend demon souls to someone unless I actually know them. This game is fun only for those who do not get frustrated. Me personally I get really really sick of dieing and replaying sections in any game. I would rent it first and see if you can handle it.

basically ima put it like this.. DS is a game that is automatically on Hard mode so expect to get killed in 3 or 4 hits and you have to have paitience. Its far from doing hot move and you wont be as strong until you beat the game the first time unless you but a good few hours in training and leveling up. But you can only Lvl up after you beat the 1st boss which is not that hard tho. but you will die a good 4 or 5 times on your first tries if you dont have any fire bomb and a shield. How long has it taken you guys who have Demon's Souls to finish it? The average time ranges from 30-50 hours for first play through.
Depends on skill, play type, and grinding amount.
I timed in at just over 40. Though there is allot of replay value in the NG+ system, and creating new characters (with a different play type).

I would recommend Demon's Souls. Fallout 3 has had numerous problems (crashes, glitches, and other bugs) that are well documented across the internet. Just search "Fallout 3 problems" and you will see what I'm talking about. As far as I know, Demon's Souls really hasn't had any problems, so I would get it instead.
