i like both, but fallout 3 easily. both main campaigns are short, but fallout 3 has tons of side quests and lots of exploring to do.

Fallout 3 is much, much longer (unless you're really into online multiplayer).

If you do everything its long, but if you just do the main quest its short.

Fallout 3 GOTY...

Get Fallout 3 and rent or borrow the Fallout 3 GOTY edition and install the DLC it should work out cheaper then buying the GOTY edition.

Who plays a WRPG to just do the main quest?

Unless you buying the GOTY edition or all the DLC, I'd go for Killzone over Fallout 3. I got bored of FO3 after finishing most of the sidequests and the main campaign on the original game. Frankly Oblivion was done in a much better way compared to FO3 since they are similar.

you're mistaken. All of the DLC actually loads and runs from the disc. Sure, the game probably copies some of the textures to the HDD for faster loading, but you can't just pop the regular disc in and expect to play all of the DLC. As for a suggestion, I'd recommend Fallout 3 GOTY. Killzone is fun and all, but for a game with more substance and depth i'd go with FO3

one is rpg and another is fps..u cant really say which can make ur interest longer..what they provide is different..short single player campaign but excellent and breath-taking multi-player online, fallout has no online but they hv a lot of side quests and discoveries to be made throughout the gameplay which i think is fantastic as well..i personally enjoy more on KZ 2 becoz i love their online..Fallout..i promise to play the whole game again after downloading the DLC

Fallout 3 is longer, singleplayer and is very unique (apart from Oblivion, but Oblivion was boring, looked horrible and story was stupid). Killzone 2 is also unique in some ways, but the only selling points are the graphics and the online multiplayer. If your a big fan of online FPS', then go for Killzone 2, but if you want a game that will last you a long, long time, don't mind it being offline and like RPG's, then Fallout 3 is the choice. Fallout 3 GOTY is better than both of them though. That game is a must-buy.

Yeah but doing the main quest only is like eating pizza without any toppings.
