60 hours or so. But it was my 2nd play-through and I made a point of pretty much maxing out my character, so I spent a lot of time searching for books and doing the quests the way I wanted (mostly the more complicated, good way)
I have the platinum but I am going to give you a hint. The longest trophies to obtain are the karma ones: good, neutral, and bad. But there is an easy way to get this. Try to stay neutral but good is okay and very good is alright. But neutral is the best. Well what you do is when you are about 500-700 points to level up on level 7, 14, and 20, save. Then get the trophy of that karma. Say you get good. Reload the save again and go to rivet city ormegaton and kill all the good people and your karma goes down as well as your XP is going up. So that can get you neutral and bad.
Say you have a neutral but want good. Save all the purified waters up and give them to the guys outside of rivet city and megaton to get good karma. Any other questions just ask.
I did... I don't know how many actual gameplay hours it took me, but it was over the course of a week I had off from work. I'll add as a disclaimer that I was completely mesmerized by this game and probably put in at least 8 hours a day on it over that week.
This and Bioshock really stand out in this gen for me as far as games that really strike a chord with me. If anyone hasn't picked up either of those, they owe it to themselves to at least rent them.
Just wanted to know has any one got the fallout 3 platnium trophy and how long did it take to get.
it took me half a week, if you dont beileve me, send my account an invite, (death-_-surge) and look at my trophies. just save alot, i have more than 50 saves so i could go back incase i missed a certain trophy.
on my first walkthrough i got most of the trophies 70% maybe and i spened around 80 hours of gameplay
on my second walkthrough i have spened 60+ hours and i got my platinuim just last week :) ,, though i did some cheating to get Karma trophies quicker.. when i need like 100-50 xp to get to lvl 8 for example i save my game and then i lvl up to get the trophy for good karam then i load it again and lose karma to be neutrul or evil then i lvl up and i will get the bad karma trophy ,, LOL :P
I was so close to getting it but I changed to a new PSN account. So now I've got to start all over again. :(
I'd advise you to keep every Nuka Cola Quantum you find and save before you reach the levels you get trophies at. For example: Save at level 6 at Good Karma, then level up and you'll get the good trophie. Save that file and go back to the level 6 file. Do bad things like kill people or steal and then level up at Neutral Karma. Repeat for Bad Karma and you're sorted. :)
I played through the game twice before trophies became available, but I'd say anywhere between 30-50 hours for 100% if you knock out the karma trophies in one playthrough.
