Fallout3 DLC content

i've always wanted to get fallout 3 but alot of issues put me of from getting it such as the glitches and visual problems i've heard of for the ps3 version and the lack of the DLC contents.... is bethesda ever going to release a GOTY edition or one that has all the problems solved plus all the DLC content (pitt anchorage broken steel etc..) in it or should I just shell out the cash for fallout 3 now?
Just wanna make sure cos the game still costs $140 here

what about the glitches i keep hearing of, are they really that bad, and how about the visuals, are they really a downgrade from the 360 version?

Not worth picking up for the PS3 Bethesda openly bad-mouths the system and puts no effort into it.

if possible, id try and rent it first, because the glitches really, strangely depends on the system, i have fallout 3 and i have no issues what-so-ever, but my friend has issues with it out the butt and its brand new

The only problem I've had is games freezes...maybe five or six after 100 hrs+ of gameplay.....

Ya I would say get another version of the game. i have the ps3 version and i played for about 20 hours with glitches then all of a sudden it started to freeze on me. Graphically it looks the same as on any other system (or if it looks worse me nor anyone i have talked to who has seen both can tell the diffrence) But the only really big problem for me would be the minor freezes i get sometimes and the fact that there is no DLC. your call in the end but i still think you should pick up one of the other versions. or hold out

I dont really have a choice for other versions,, i dont have a 360 and even though my laptop has an 8600gt,, i dont wanna put anything more on there as its full as it is.

i havnt had any glitches on mine and ive had it for since december. As for your other question, i havnt heard of a GOTY edition, so not sure if they are going to make it or notjcopp72

well $800 for an 80gb ps3,, ummm bout 650 for a 360 elite..... a wii is 400

Fallout 3 has minor glitches as do all games. No game has perfection. DLC is currently made for the PC and 360. No announcements regarding a PS3 DLC for Fallout 3. Alot of users speculate that the DLC may come on PS3 upon the release of GOTY. The official word if DLC is coming to PS3 is "No, not yet."

Well I have the PC version so I got the DLC for free (not an illegal way) and I say that is the best version. I also love all the mods but a friend of mine has the PS3 version. He has played over 60 hours and says that he has not had problems with the game so far. And about the DLC: Well they havent said anything about that but they might release it later on for PS3. These are only timed exclusives. If you want just go to their forums and talk about it. Oblivion had DLC on 360 only but then came out on PS3 which wasnt expected.

get it on pc it has mods which make up for no dlc (pc has got dlc but good luck getting it with games for windows live)

hmm so far i've played up till chr level 14 doing mainly the side qsts (my 2nd chr, my 1st went up to around lv 11 before i decided to restart and take my time fully exploring the diff locations i had discovered) , i've uncovered around 25 locations and have found zero bugs, crashes or glitches. the graphics are very good if your using a hdmi.

Gameplay wise this is NOT the great game its all hyped up to be, its good dont get me wrong (tho i found fallout 1&2 at the time a lot more engrossing)

In hindsight I would have waited till the game got cheaper before i bought it, or they released ps3 dlc, in fact i find it hard to understand WHY they haven't already, everyone KNOWS ps3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>360 ;)

I agree, No glitches or problems.. here, and the game looks great!

alot of hype, and bad mouth by people... IMO, seems like people make more out of it than there really is..

I only encountered a few MINOR bugs, but after a system update, none at all.

Other then "No DLC atm" PS3 version of Fallout 3 works great. I have over 50+ hours into the game and it runs fantastic. I encountered one glitch during my play however I have no doubts those glitches are across all platforms.

Unless you're angry about DLC issues, pick up Fallout 3 without any issues. It looks on par with Xbox 360 and runs smooth as butter. I have no idea where is all this PS3 version issues coming from. I certainly haven't found much if any technical issues with the game.

Some people are exaggerating and blowing it out of proportion. It runs excellent.
