Is there any way to get to GNR from friendly station? i seem to run around in circles, also about talking to people. why has the ability to converse with others gone. i seemed to have lost it.
on my first attempt i got to GNR but it was in ruins and brotherhood of steel had killed all the mutants. but i had no way of finding mad dog. because the building was rubble.
ok its set in like 2044 i think.the weapons are of high tech but old stlye and its contained to washington dc but its still a very big area to explore and it has more than 60 locations.hope this helped :P

ok i cnt help you with the first question but three dog IS inside the gnr building u can go in the dront door and hes straight up the stairs
darn..i went through friendship station underground and killed off heaps of ghouls and radroachs. onlt to end up at farragut metro. it seems likke a endless run around. is there a place i can fast travel to and restart the quest.?
Hi i had that problem too but i somehow got there by accident. its kinda of a pain but once you find the brotherhood team then its stright-forward, just follow.

It is set some years in the future, in 2277 (Wikipedia is your friend) 300 years after the nukes fell in the game world. The weapons are a mix of more traditional tech and futuristic weapons. The H&K G3 assault rifle (named Assault Rifle) and a slight AK47 variant (named the Chinese assault rifle) make appearances with other guns such as a 10mm pistol, a double barreled shotgun and a bolt action rifle to name a few. The more futuristic ones are much more "junky" meaning they are visibly made from items not intended for firearms or weapons making. There are laser pistols and rifles and for instance a very cool mini nuke launcher. And to answer the nuclear fallout is worldwide. Back to the weapons as I forgot about the stile. All the weapons either look old (the ones based on real weapons), are a mismatch of parts or have a campy 50's esque design to them (though this comes in more with the look of the world and the style of dress and appearance in the people). That's the prominent art style much like in the others and in games like Bioshock. It is a great vibe in my opinion.

oh well. i might become a meander-tholl and set about meandering all over wasteland until i find the place (i am old enough to be a neandertholl at 61 playing ps3 games who would have thought it)
i found a good way maintain your health level annd keeping stimpaks for emergency only is to fast travel to a known place e.g friendship station where there is a bed and you can recover. i normally save the game i am in each time i kill a opponent and it save me going through the whole lot again.
if i get killed. i can go to a previous saved level and reload from there, so it is useful to save near the place you are in while your health is good.
i seriously need some help with this issue. i just cannot find the GNR building. i get to dukovs and all surrounding places like friendship height station the national guard depot. anchorage memorial ..faragut west metro.. and others. but i cannot for the life of me find the CNR building. i am going ballistic.. and if i cannot get assistance i will most likely pack the game in...PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP. i have tried starting from scratch as a different user but i am just stuck in this place and run around in circles and always end up back at friendship heights
DUDE, there's so many ways to get help on this issue...a walkthrough, websites, etc. I'm not sure even though I beat the game. Have you tried under ground around the metros and stuff like that?? you shouldn't pack the game in. The arrow should help you find it also. When its blinking you are getting closer to your destination.
i finally got it..A MASSIVE THANKS. you guys are awesome, i thought i had checked all the exits in the metro. but i finally found the way to Chevy chase where i came across the brother hood. and did as you said.
i fluked the door opener though, for a while i thought i needed a key.
this is my first post on GameSpot, so bear with me as a newbie :) .. my question is very simple, i'm playing Fallout3 for about 3 days now, at first i hated it, but i'm getting the hang of it.
i was able to discover a few location, but i guess i was cribbeled and lost a foot. i used the med. shot, i slept and i paid 50 caps to the doctor in megaton to heal me, but I STILL CAN"T RUN nor can i FAST Travel .... i keeps on saying that i can't fast travel while i'm overencoubmeded.
any help, any ideas .. your help is greatly apperciated.
overemcumbered simply means your have to much "stuff" go to your weapons or apparrell and remove or repair. or go to your misc and dump some nonessentials.
can i have help i want to join the bros of steel but the intocon will not respond its dumb wats the point of me buying the game if i cant join the bros it ill be cool if some 1 can help me o and how do i get into the reven rock place i blast the door off and enterd it and thirs some invisable door or somthin its just dumb
u got too much wate on u get rid of some crap weps like chinnes pistol or copbuttorn well when u find the chinnes shard at the the ruplublic of dave look in the musem and thirs lots of good weps

to answer your question you are carrying to much weight, you need to store some items or sell
