I'll say the same things I did in yesterdays Farcry 2 thread. :P
Honestly, I would feel dissapointed if I had shelled out $8 to rent it. The game was an absolute snooze fest. Gunplay was weak, driving between missions was tremendously boring, being attacked by random patrols grew extremely tedious, no mission variety, non-existant story, and a 3 shade color pallete.
its good but it was a terrible decision on no instant travel feature and alot of variety in missions. because thats the real bad thing about it, also look at user reviews more realiable and its not short.
I bought the game on release because of all the hype gamepot and IGN were giveing it in the previews and because the first one on PC was great. Worse mistake iv made this gen game wise. it really fun untill you relize its not half as deep as you first think. the openworld feels very flat. it does not have thatreal world feel thatyou get with most open world games. the combat is nothing great. sure you can set the grass on fire but i found it does not realy add any thing. basicly the game feels unfinished. The devlopers had some realy greatideas but it just feels like they did not follow threw. if you can get it for 20 bucks then its prob worth it. Otherwise i recommend you rent it first.
Well said, and i agree 100%. Like i said the devs had some realy great ideas and the overall concept of the game is great but like you say it was executed poorly.
