FAT vs SLIM failure rate POLL

FAT vs SLIM its time to get this done folks..

the slims have only been out 3 months. while the fats have been out 3 yrs. my nephews slim bit the dust recently. while my launch 60gb still goin strong.but my nephews only 13. and takes it with him 2his friends every weekend so he probably extremly rough with it.

This poll doesn't make any sense. The 60GB launch models have a high failure rate sice recently, and the slims have been out what... 3? 4 months? Obviously the slim has the better failure rate.

Me too! I use my 60GB PS3 even more since I now have the ability to stream Netflix content. Anyway, I think the "fat" system is sexier than the slim. I like the curves... ;)

3 months vs 3 years the scales on this poll are rigged.

I agree with the notion that it's "too early to tell" about the Slim, that's what I have, so far so good. I have 5 years worth of warranties purchased though so I should be in good shape.

since i already have a 60 gig ps3 , and now a slim im bot hahaha

My Slim encountered a sotware failure within a week of buying it. I exchanged it and the new one seems fine. It does however make some pretty hefty cracking sounds though (the kind you get when electrical items expand and contact as they heat up). Fingers crossed the new one will be ok :)

I have fat since June 2008 (1,5 year) and it never had any problem. The same with my brother's: Fat, 1 year, no problem at all...

I think slim is a BIIIIIG failure!
