Gamespot is good stuff, but what other gaming sites/blogs do you guys check for news. i usually swing by Qt, gamersyde, gametrailers, and game|life for bits of news and media. i saw a thread like this on another site and found some pretty interesting places to check out. so anyway, share your hotspots.

edit: i know this is more general in nature, but i wasn't allowed to start a new topicin the general discussion board.

gamefaqs over gamespot, at least there they don't mod you for saying what they are doing wrong, or if you don't like any micorosft product.

Besides GS it's IGN and GT(Gametrailers). Usually IGN has updates for games I want. And GT gives great video reviews. And I usually decide on a game based on their reviews.

IGNs good. Gamespot was the first and only site i new about for the longest time (it was n64 era and i was in grade 5...), so i stuck with them.

theres this one site i went to... its like some cartoon, hero site. i forget the name... shows you how good it is...

I like HookedGamers (www.hookedgamers.com).

They seem fairly small, but they are getting more reviews and previews recently. The (p)reviews seem impartial and fairly well written. They cover all the consoles, but I think PC games have more coverage.

They've even got a couple of competitions running at the moment for Aussie gamers. Jericho for the PS3 and PES2008 for X360. I'm out to win the Jericho title. Looks good. Don't have a 360, but could enter and sell it if I win I suppose.

Gamespot used to be, but I can't stand the fanboyism anymore, so it's not so much my fave these days.

i`ve been on gamespot for almost 5 years or so, may be even more, but thats not the point right, gamespot used to be great, fanboys are all over the place right now, ign is good, gt is good too, and psu.com is great, (PLayStation Universe), its not as much of a fanboy site as u might think, they have great reviews, and great news, but the bad part is they just have ps related stuff, but somehow they dont seem biased, odd aint it :O

A site that should be a fanboy site isn't, and a site that shouldnt be biased is!? That ironic world we live in. Well i guess that could be because PSU is so restricted (to just Playstation) that there really isn't any need to be a fanboy since everyone else on the site is a PS3 and/or Sony fan; there's a mutual agreement. But on sites like GS or IGN, theres fans from all sides and everything is covered; thereby, getting the sense of competition is set into motion and thats when we get stupid fanboys.

Same here, it gives you a good perspective from different opinions.
