Fear 2 framerate WTF!

Well just finished the demo and the framerate is horrible! what did you guys think? i mean a dunno if its just an earlly build or what. but i know this. im not buying it unless they fix the problem . i played the original on pc but i doubt i will be able to play the new one on my pc so the only choice i have is buying it for my ps3 but thats not guna happen untill i see some improvments

other than the framerate the game seemed really good ;) im looking forward to it but i hope they fix the framerate thats all

Yeah man..I was really looking forward to FEAR. Well, I'll still give it a try when I get off from work.

I won't take one persons opinion of the game to seriously.

Doesn't surprise me, the PS3 port of the first F.E.A.R. was awful as well. It makes me wonder if I'd played F.E.A.R. on a PC if I would have hated it so damn much :P. The horror elements suck regardless though. They should just cut their losses and make it a straight FPS because it isn't scary and it isn't cool. It's just boring and unnessary. Leave the creepy stuff to the pros. Silent-Hal

So who are the pros of horror then? Why bother writing that if it all comes down to personal taste. Some may find it scary, while you don't and others might find what you feel is scary to be rather lame.

Wow that picture of the Wolf and lighting is messing with my head BIG TIME i mean jesus man.... Anyhow im gonna have to check this demo out and see what your refering to. Im surpirsed the devolopers would release a Demo with FPS issues especially on a console!

never played the original fear but i loved this demo, might have to buy it at some point.
the framerate wasnt that bad at all, ran pretty well for me only dipped once or twice.

Ah well to each their own. But I gotta say the "locker sequence" in the FEAR 2 demo was really cool. I'll agree it's not as scary as the other games you mentioned, but to say "it isn't scary" is an understatement, but there are other factors that make FEAR a great series, like the gameplay.

I don't think the framerate is that big of an issue, the game itself just looks BAD. Compare this with the original 8-minute gameplay trailer that debuted last year, its so much different! A game can't turn out worse than it did during a development.PSdual_wielder
