I don't think being able to access the web in-game will ever be possible. And if so, what would you need it for? To look up cheats on the fly? :p Tsk, tsk....
Either the option to either schedule download periods, or a timer to automatically shut off the PS3 at a certain time.
Brief explanation: Basically my internet service has a daily limit on how much I can download. If I go over this, my connection drops to dial-up speed for 24 hours. The only exception is between the hours of 12 and 3 am PST, when they temporarily lift this cap. Right now the only way to take advantage of this is to stay up and wait until 3, then pause the download if it isn't completed by then. I would love to be able to automate this somehow.

all id say is we need is a download scheduler so i can download things overnight so it doesnt count to my limit during the month.
Sony servers for downloads needs more bandwidth, so everyone one with fast cable high speed internet can actually download demos faster. Like instead of taking hours it can be in 10-15 mins like how fast downloads take on my Xbox360.
I think a few stability fixes should be put on the XMB first before any extra work is made to it.Dan_Lero
this i agree with. ever since the 2.4 upgrades my psn randomly logs me out. everything else works fine and i'm able to log back in. but I'm hoping for them to stablize this so that when i log in, i stay logged in.

Well I have PS3 for 1 year now. Every firmware which I downloaded took about 15-20 min. I have internet speed of 2 Mbps

I think Sony should not match their competition by adding voice messages or in game voice chat. I think they should try to implement video messages and in game video chat. They already have the PS Eye. No they just need to make it better.

Should be possible as a few games do it already. Like in MGO, you pop up the web browser during game.
Another thought came to mind... not really something we "need", but it could be a really nifty addition:
Voice controlled XMB. - basically we speak into our PSeyes or headsets the basic commands. Like playing/pausing media or "typing" in the browser.

That would be a nice feature. The eye cam already has some nice fetures that can only get better, like controlling game with body movements through the PSEye.
