you remember the games of yore, where the games were so fantastic you couldnt stop thinking about it.
the games where you dreamt of what to do to beat that level you couldnt beat the first 14 times.
the games where even though you lost those 14 times, you thanked the game for difficulty rather thangetting infuriated and damageing your system.
the games where it was always "five more minutes" every hour?
this is the first psp title to do that for me. in fact, it is only the third portable title and maybe the tenth title overall to do that to me.
but maybe im biased. i am a sucker for tactics tiles. but in my opinion, if you liked ANY tactics game (fft for the psx, tactics ogre, even civilization) you will LOVE this game.
end story and rant
Its quite a complex SRPG, theres a hell of alot of customisation for characters, the story is fairly deep - what you would expect from a final fantasy game to be sure.
Graphics are ok - I have no problem with the 2d characters and basic lookingmaps but the sound wise,it is much better with a good soundtrack.
Its also huge and will last along time if you can bear with it and have patience - the game has a slow pace and is hard to get to grips with at first, and the battles are tough - definetely challenging but not frustratingly so - after beating certain missions I found FFT to bea rewarding game and one of the better PSP titles out there.
