Hey guys. I'm guessing i'm at the end of chapter 11 of FF13. I just beat bartandalus (probably spelled that wrong :) and he left that airship to get back to cocoon. My question is if I go ahead and board the ship will I get another chance to come back down to pulse to grind/farm cp and do other stuff or should I get everythign done now before I get on the ship?

You can go back to Pulse at the beginning of Chapter 13 (and after you beat the game).

Yes you will have another chance to go back and farm at Pulse, however I would suggest grinding a good amount before you proceed as the first form of the last boss is pretty tough.

Yeah i was thinking that. I wanted to grind some more before continuing further, however is it still possible to back track to the wide open plains at the beginning of chapter 11? Particularly the part where the behemoth king and that other monster are fighting each other and you get that premptive strike?

I believe so, I know that there are two portals you can enter - one bringing you back to Gran Pulse where all the missions are and the other one continuing your main storyline. I continued the storyline though because I grinded forever when I first began Chapter 11. I would make sure your party members are level 4 in their 3 main Crystarium jobs before facing the final boss.

Sorry man but you're not far from the end now. Chapters 12 and 13 are very short. At least once you're done you get the final level of the Crystarium and can grind your way up to 100%.... not sure what the point of that is exactly though. Why did they build into a game that you can only get the final skills once the game was beaten? Wish it had a new game plus. I'll grind it later for the trophies but it's disspointing.

What a kickass game otherwise though eh :D

Well i don't really care for trophy's. I just want to grind and upgrade the characters as much as I can. I want to beat the final boss with relative ease. I hate playing games where you get to the end and your character is so under powered that you can't kill the last boss. Makes all those hours you put into the game feel useless.

No worries there then :) As long as you've at least maxed out their primary roles you'll have little trouble.

Ohh really? SO then I shouldn't waste time leveling up the secondary roles? If I just max out the primary then I can finish the game with ease?

Yeah I did it with their 3 primary's maxed and a team of Fang, Vanille and Hope. Had about 800,000 CP in the bank when I finished the game so I was able to get them up to level 5 and nab the trophies too :D. PM me if you like and I'll give you the config I used to beat him... actually it's the config I used from 11 onwards. Never failed me :D

I'm in chapter 12 before fighting the proudclad. Seems like I don't have to grind too much since I have a good amount of cp so far.

Out of curiosity, I did that little quest in Oerba where you have to find parts for vanille's toy robot. When I was done I didn't get any reward or anything. Was there any point to doing that quest or was it just a waste of time?

You should have had an achievement/trophy pop.
