Exactly. PS: That Was A HORRIBLE MOVIE! It almost destroyed Sony's movie studio's.

Keep in mind that the FF13 trailer was intercut with CG and gameplay, Yeah it's hard to tel which is which but neither is on par with the visuals of a CG movie that took a render farm of about 50-100 high end graphics workstations to generate.
I'm sure Square learned many tricks to improve graphics from their Cinema foray though.
i would rather have ffxiii look like its official trailer than those. those screens look like the devs were trying for photorealism(which will never happen). ff games have their own art style and id like it to stay tha way.

Devs? you DO know this is the first FF movie right? there were no "devs" it's not a game. And it was very photo realistic many times it even complately fooled people into believing they were looking at live action footage. But with a lackluster story that was raped by hollywood script writers and 11th hour staff changes that removed the original creator and his vision it was doomed to failure. As a technological testimate to the power of digital film making it was a great movie but as a story made for entertainment purposes it sucked hairy horse balls.

Just stating for the sake of clarity, It only takes one mistyped word to screw up someone else who dosent know as much about the subject as either of us.
I never realized how much Gray looked like Ben Affleck at times XD And as far as the topic, yeah, I think parts of FF13 could look as good as that (not including any cinematics because of course THOSE are gonna look good).
