Okay so I got the original FF7 and idk whats so cool about it, maybe back in the day it was awesome, i could see that, but i just think it's boring now, without giving me any spoilers does the storyline get better in the second disk? Or the third? I am at the end of the first disk.
I'm not exactly inclined to believe you if you are already near the end of the first disk as you claim. And are you sure you're already finished with disc 1 in the first place?
Final fantasy VII was one of the greatest games ever made...to date. If you enjoy RPGs then you WILL enjoy that game, especially the story. The game is at its best toward the end of the second disc.

The game builds up as you progress. Its pretty amazing all the way through and its still able to build up. You haven't even got to the middle of the story. Just keep playing and pay attention to each character.

op....do you like good stories? if you do, how do you not love the story of vii already. oh i get it, you didnt even pay attention and just did the turn based battles, which of course you thought was boring because you're used to god of war/kingdom hearts/halo2. plz, listen carefully to the story. pay attention, and you'll realize why its so treasured in many peoples hearts.

True haha but no see I heard how good FF7 was so i started off with Crisis Core and loved the game and storyline, that's when i realized i liked Sephiroth haha.I couldn't find the original first that's why i went with crisis core, i found FF7 for 50 dollars at a flea market so i bought it

no i understand what's going on so far, and by the way i play RPG's for their stories, that's why i liked Kingdom Hearts so much in the first place
by the way i think part of the problem is since i played crisis core first, everything so far in the game is already explained to me. I take it most of you kept playing to figure out what happens later in the game, well most of it was explained in Crisis Core so far of what i've seen, plus my friend showed me the end of the game when he beat it....
To be honest Sephiroth was kind of a crappy villian. He just whines about his heritage and then goes off hiding. Kefka from FF6 was a 10x better villian, he was sadistic and killed people for fun right from the start. The only part I liked about FF7 was the music but to be honest the story doesn't get that much better, it's very convoluted and gets kinda meh towards the end.
Back in the day, FF7 was the bomb. But sadly FF7, or the FF7 you're talking about wasn't released on the PS3. We want to try to relegate all talk about the previous systems in the Legacy Board.
