FF7 remake on the PS3

Ive been hearing rumors about final fantasy 7 being remade on the playstation 3 and I was wondering if anyone on gamespot heard about it because that would be awsome and it might happen because they made crises core

Hope and Pray my friend that's all I can say! Unless they're secretly developing this already I dont see it happening! I would love to see all those characters we've all grown so attached to rejoice in HD quality but Im afraid this wont happen until Final Fantasy 7 is only a legend in the year 2016 hahah..

I believe I read an article from someone in square enix and they were asked if they would remake it, but they said that there is more chance of not a remake, instead a sequel ff7 coming out for ps3.stooge55

Officially Square Enix has always maintained that they want to revisit FF7 but they have many projects that have priority over a FF7 remake (FFXIII versus is being made by the Advent Children team which is the one that would be in charge of a FF7 remake.) When they first released the tech demo for PS3 redoing the intro of FF7 they specifically said that the only chance of a FF7 remake would happen is if the fam response was big enough. Simple_malk

Good and Bad...

Good to see a great game with revamped graphics...but that's it...

Bad...just means that Square can't produce anymore decent FF that they have to keep on sucking on the old one...

so all in all...better dun remake

been wanting this games since old titles are getting makeovers in the ps3, & i've mentioned this already in some of my threads. for those who have no idea what FF VII is, it's one of the greatest games of all time. one of the pillars of the psone's success! developing a remake will be an instant hit! it used to have 3 discs, now the blu-ray can handle it all, making it more special with new excellent graphics!
