I love the cg, it has absolutely that advent children scale in it. And can anyone tell me where to learn more about the combat system? The slot machine looks kinda strange.

You don't need to play any of the other games since it's a direct prequel of Final Fantasy VII. But here's the problem. There are a lot of things in the Compilation that should be seen in a certain order simply because of surprise. If you play Crisis Core, Final Fantasy VII you can play the original. But the surprises and a few plot twists will probably be spoiled you played Crisis Core first.
Even in Advent Children there is a sense of connection with Crisis Core. One is the bluff where so-and-so died. In Final Fantasy VII that bluff is seen in a secret scene, and in Advent Children Cloud revisits the bluff since it's a memorial to him. With Crisis Core there's a CGI scene/artwork of Zack holding the Buster Sword with white feathers floating around him while he stands on the bluff.
If you do decided to play Crisis Core, the original Final Fantasy VII, watch Advent Children, and Dirge of Cerberus in that order you'll definitely have a new outlook on the game. There are a few other story elements to Final Fantasy VII. We have The Maiden Who Travels the Planet and On the Way to a Smile which are short novels. The mobile phone game Dirge of Cerberus, Lost Episode is available for Verizon and Amp'd users. But of course the mobile game Before Crisis, Final Fantasy VII isn't available in the US. It's actually a important storyto the Compilation involving the Turks. The good news is there are English summaries of each chapter on the internet of BC.
Anyway. If you all head over to the Final Fantasy Experience Union you can find translations of this Crisis Core trailer! It is the Square Enix Party 2007 trailer of Crisis Core. So just look for that over at the union and you'll be able to understand what's going on. The song in the background is "Why".
